Mark NeJame: Lawyer involved in HaLeigh Cummings and Casey Anthony cases representing Tiger Woods

Florida attorney, Mark NeJame, is now representing golfing pro Tiger Woods, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Woods was involved in a car crash early Friday morning and has refused to speak to authorities about the incident for three days in a row. Friday, his wife, Elin Nordegren turned authorities away claiming Woods was sleeping and rescheduled the appointment for the next day; on Saturday, Woods’ agent cancelled the interview; and on Sunday, attorney Mark NeJame called the Florida Highway Patrol to cancel a 1 p.m. meeting.

NeJame became well known for representing George and Cindy Anthony after their daughter, Casey Anthony, was accused of murdering their granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, 2. He left their employ over undisclosed reasons and began to represent Tim Miller and Texas Equusearch—the volunteer search group that was involved in the search for Caylee and another missing Florida girl, HaLeigh Cummings.

The incident causing the current media frenzy surrounds an early morning car accident on Friday, in which Woods left his driveway, hit a fire hydrant, and then a tree. At the time, reports indicated he received facial lacerations from the accident. TMZ then reported that a source revealed that prior to the crash, Woods' wife had confronted him about seeing another woman and caused his facial injuries.

The “other woman” has been identified as Rachel Uchitel, who adamantly denies any involvement with Woods. She flew from New York to Los Angeles on Sunday to meet with renowned attorney, Gloria Allred. To see photos of Uchitel, click here.

The source claimed Woods headed for his vehicle as Elin followed close behind with a golf club. According to TMZ, she struck the SUV several times and the golfer became “distracted” and thought he had stopped the vehicle, which caused him to collide with the hydrant and tree.
