On Friday, the aunt and caretaker of missing Hassani Campbell, 5, were arrested on suspicion of murder. According to reports, Jennifer Campbell, 33, is scheduled to be released from jail on Monday, while her fiancé, 38-year-old Louis Ross remains in custody.
Hassani, who has cerebral palsy, went missing three weeks ago today and was last seen with Ross, who claimed the boy disappeared when he left him alone briefly in a shoe store parking lot.
Alameda County Assistant District Attorney Tom Rogers said that no charges will be filed against Jennifer because there was “insufficient evidence” against her.
Prosecutors have until Tuesday to file charges against Ross, who continues to be held by authorities.

According to ABC News, the police have classified Hassani’s case as a homicide investigation rather than a missing person’s case and have said they are now searching for his body.

Well. The Oakland P.D. proclaimed last Friday that Hassani was (a.) not missing, (b.) they were now investigating a homocide case, and c.(that they had arrested the folks--namely the foster parents--who were responsible for suspicion of murder. Yesterday and today they end up releasing the foster parents because of insufficient evidence. I am appauled. Who is in charge of this investigation and why has the tempo picked up to physically find Hassani? Nancy Grace? Nancy, why don't you spend a little time going over this case?
The first and only time I heard of this story of missing Hassani Campbell was on MSNBC. I was shocked that I didn't get to see Nancy Grace air it on her show. I guess I missed the one time she spoke on the case. I wondered if I missed it on Jane Velez Mitchell or Mike Galanos. Here I thought CNN cared about all missing children cases and airing them equally.
She SOUNDS like she's crying, but does she have a medical condition that keeps actual TEARS from coming out of her tear ducts???? She's got the routine down pat, but you can't fake tears. She OBVIOUSLY can't. Too bad there's not a switch for that. Liars.
