On Tuesday, the parents of accused murderer, Casey Anthony, attended the funeral of slain Florida girl, Somer Thompson.
Somer, 7, went missing on Oct. 19 while walking home from school. In the early morning hours of Oct. 22, her lifeless body was found in a Georgia landfill.
According to WDBO, George and Cindy Anthony were seen walking into the public portion of the funeral service.
The Anthony’s granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, 2, disappeared in the summer of 2008. Her remains were discovered Dec. 11 in a wooded area near the Anthony family home.
Casey, Caylee's mother, is charged with her murder. Her trial is scheduled to begin June 2010.

Of course. Cindy couldn't let this be about Somer, she had to show up and make a spectacle and act as if she cares. She didn't go out and SEARCH for Somer, she just showed up at the memorial in the hopes of a photo-op. Cindy fools no one. but keeps on trying.
Surely they meant well. but they should have know they were only going to draw attention away from Somer and the service. A sympathy card would have been enough.

George and Cindy could of sent flower's or a card! This was a different scenerio Somer was kidnapped! I guess since NG has been talking about Somer instead of Casey they had to remind everyone! We know who is guilty the trash they raised! Rip Somer ! !
Why do the Anthonys feel like they need to always be the center of attention. I guess we can all understand where their Murderous Daughter gets this from. It's all about them. No one in their right mind would want the Anthonys at their kidnapped child's funeral. They put a stain on all kidnapped and murdered children. Their grandchild wasn't kidnapped---their daughter simply murdered her. They should retire or just go the hell away. No one wants them.
Come on people, there is nothing wrong with these people paying their respects to this family. I too cannot stand them and think they are bottom feeders, but that doesn't mean it's not OK for them to attend a funeral. Lighten up a little bit. They are human.
They want the public to think that THEY still believe that somebody...anybody ELSE killed Caylee besides their daughter. Their obvious mental illness is sickening...they have no doubt CHOSEN to take this road, and stay on it, no matter what. Even Lee...when he dropped out of sight, long ago, many thought it was because he secretly realized Casey did it. However, after reading his recent (July 09) deposition, he's just as sick in the head (and seemingly clueless) as his parents. I'm sorry, I just can't find any reason to have any sympathy for them.
People please worry about your own life and family instead of criticising everyone else, your life is passing you by. Dont carry the weight of other peoples lives and how they live day to day on your back. Is can't be good for your health. Love life and just appreciate the friends and family you have and instead of scoping out other familys, be there for yours.

Enough already Cindy & George. Attending the funerals of strangers children is not a recommended hobby. I'm sick of them showing up everytime a child is missing or killed...if they'd quit pretending like their daughter isn't a murderer, then I could see this as catharsis. Instead it's just creepy.
George and Cindy were on a cruise, not helping to look for Somer, and now they just doing this to influence the jury pool. Somer was killed by a stranger. Their daughter killed Caylee. These two cases are only related because an innocent young child was cruelly murdered in both cases, but Somer's killer has not been identified yet, Caylee's killer has.
You raise a child and give her anything she wants - You watch while she has a child. You help raise the child until one day you have had enough. You send the child and baby into the world alone and you end up with a daughter charged with murder. That is what is happening with George and Cindy. This show of emotion for a dead child would never have happened before but now, they attempt to heal their wounds - self inflicted.
I don't know what these poeple's intentions are, I just know that their daughter killed their granddaughter who had no chance at life. I know it ust hurt to lose a granddaughter and now their daughter, but she made the choice and needs to pay. Little Caylee did not deserve to be killed and by her own mother. God have mercy on her soul. Yes, Caylee and Somer's cases are far different. They are both in Heaven together with Jesus, but the murders are different. The Anthony's did not save their tergranddaughter and they will nto be able to save their daughter for paying for what she did no matter how many funeralsthey attend. I don't know what their intentions are,only God adnd themselves know that. I jsut know that Somer nad her family need out support right now.
If it didn't upset Somer Thompson's friends and family, it shouldn't upset us. While I'm not a fan of the Anthony's and their defending their daughter, I don't think I could predict how I would act if I were in their positions of losing my only grand daughter. People say some really cruel things about these people, which is easy to do when you're just sitting behind a computer screen. Get a life and quit being so damn angry! Get angry at Casey, get angry at the judicial system, but in the end, the Anthony's did not murder that little girl. She was taken from them and that deserves some compassion. I think their intentions were to show support for the family who lost their daughter in the same manner as their grandaughter... murder. I will say though, that if they have enough money in their fund, then it would be very nice to see them donate some of that money to up the reward on this little girl in hopes of someone giving the police some answers to find the killer.
WendyinCalif, just to clarify...George and Cindy did NOT "send the child and baby into the world alone"...they did NOT "kick out" Casey...Casey left of her own accord (because she desperately wanted to be free of her controlling, domineering mother, have sex freely with men, and party, party, party!) Cindy was desperate to see her granddaughter during those "31 days", and I can surely understand her feelings of despair during THAT period. But after being faced with all the countless lies Casey told...the lack of any evidence whatsoever that there ever was a "babysitter", and the solid evidence (photos and tattoo ink) that she was doing nothing but having FUN while her daughter was "missing"...and STILL they claim to BELIEVE HER??? That's where my sympathy ENDS. I just finished reading Cindy's July 09 deposition yesterday, and they were STILL, at that time, looking for the "real" Zenaida Gonzales!! (And still thinking maybe Caylee's still alive somewhere!) Are you KIDDING me??
George and Cindy went to the funeral to like everyone else to mourn the loss of an innocent child. They understand the pain Somers parents are in. George and Cindy didnt harm Caylee they loved her and miss her and are just victims of Casey's lies like everyone else.
The problem I have with this family is the many lies they have told to LE & the FBI. For people who truly wanted to find their granddaughter, they could have cooperated alot better instead of washing evidence off their daughters clothing & car trunk, (that's called obstruction & tampering), NOT calling LE when they went to the tow yard to pick up the car, trying to get the tow yard man to say he did NOT smell decomp coming from the car, (that's called tampering with a possible witness), not trying to find their own granddaughter, calling in bogus tips of Caylee sightings, I could go on, but if you watch the videos & read the evidence you will soon see a different side to these people.
If I went to pick up my daughters car & it smelled like decomp, I'd immediately call LE or 911 because I would worry that they had been carjacked, kidnapped, & the car dumped. I would not have driven it home so LE could search for evidence. This is something georgie SHOULD know as LE_101! Hmm?
georgie & spindy love the spotlight. I'd like to know why they never bothered to search for their own grandbaby? Why all the lies & distractions? Why not tell the truth?
