Casey Anthony, 22, who has been charged with the murder of her daughter, Caylee, has amassed a powerful legal "dream team" for her upcoming trial.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Dr. Scott Fairgrieve will be assisting the Anthony defense crew. Fairgrieve is a forensic anthropologist with the Northeastern Regional Forensic Pathology Unit in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. He has been involved in a number of high-profile murder cases.
Fairgrieve is just one of a number of powerful attorneys and forensic experts Anthony will have at her disposal.

Jose Baez has been Anthony's lead attorney and has a reputation of being a tough adversary. During his time in the Miami-Dade County Public Defender's office as an intern paired with other attorney's, he won 32 out of 34 jury trials. He also taught law students, lawyers, and judges about using the Internet as a valuable investigation tool when he worked for Lexis-Nexis.

Linda Kenney-Baden, wife of famed forensic pathologist, Michael Baden, has joined the Anthony legal team. Her specialty is forensic evidence, a field she has worked in for over two decades. Kenney-Baden was Phil Spector's attorney during his 2007 murder trial, in which a mistrial was declared due to a hung jury.

Dr. Henry Chang-Yu Lee has also been retained by Anthony's defense. Lee has been involved in several high-profile criminal cases, including the 1995 O.J. Simpson murder trial. Lee has over 40 years of forensic experience and is the Chief Emeritus for Scientific Services for the State of Connecticut.
Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan, the lead female character in the FOX television show "Bones," was modeled on Dr. Kathy Reichs, who has also been recruited by Baez. She is a forensic anthropologist and author who has taught FBI agents how to detect and properly recover human remains.

A frequent guest on Nancy Grace's show, Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky will assist the defense as well. His expertise is in DNA and he is an Associate Provost of the Interdisciplinary Forensics Science Department at John Jay College. Kobilinsky has also authored several books and serves as a television consultant.
Terence Lenamon is a Miami criminal defense attorney who has been involved in several high profile cases. He recently joined the Anthony team and is experienced in death penalty cases.
Jose Luis Garcia has also recently jumped on board this high-powered team, with experience in criminal and family law.

One of the most experienced forensic pathologists around, Dr. Werner Spitz is another powerful player. He is a professor of pathology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and testified in the wrongful death suit against O.J. Simpson in 1997.
This group of experts is highly education, extremely experienced, and very successful in their respective fields.
Casey Anthony had been unemployed when arrested and had been borrowing money and writing bad checks for survival, so it is not likely she is paying for this multi-million dollar crew. Her family has also indicated they have no money and could not afford such a legal defense.
Anthony is guaranteed a fair trial under the law, however, one can only wonder whether this experienced and knowledgeable group of individuals is interested in justice or their main goal in defending Anthony is publicity. Those who believe Casey Anthony is guilty would likely choose the latter.

I think you overstated Jose Baez' qualifications and achievements. He was an intern for the Public Defender's office while in law school and did not take the bar until 8 years after graduating. That he is taking credit for winning those cases is a little bit of a "mistruth." He has been a practicing attorney for about 3 years now. Wow!
I can't believe this "tot-mom" had brains enough to not leave fingerprints all over the duct tape wrapped around her daughters skull. There must be more than circumstantial evidence to send her to the death chamber ready to be placed into evidence.

You added a link but didn't correct your false reporting. You left your misleading information intact? So why haven't you corrected your article? Baez did not win 32 out of 35 cases as you stated because he was not an intern during that period. The Da's office might have won 32 out of 35 cases that Baez MAY have worked on in a clerical capacity. He also may have passed the bar exam (so he says) but was not granted a licence to practice law for 8 years due to his unsavory past behaviors. How can you be taken seriously as a journalist when you don't don't even correct yourself after it's been pointed out to you that your not very well researched article is full of blatent lies? Indeed, Baez misrepresented his legal experience on his website by boasting about 'winning' trials that he merely observed as a (low-achieving) student.
The Florida Bar has since seen to it that he REMOVE the fictitious 'mid-90's trial experience' from his website.
Jose Baez is an inarticulate, grammatically-challenged embarrassment to the legal profession.
This is just too sick for words. It is beyond my imagination that all these so called experts would rush to the aid of a women who murdered her own child and then party afterwards until her own mother called the police on her. For any of them to go on the witness stand for Casey's defense, makes them no better than her and it is sickening to say the least. Where are all the experts for Caylee? Does no one care that this precious angel was murdered and then thrown away like garbage.Rest in Peace Sweet Angel.
It appears that the only qualification that JB is lacking is the ability to defend pedophiles.
As for the rest of the expert pro-bono counsel, I fear they may be a flight risk.
wanted to mention a theory that I have not heard circulated.
I think that Casey Anthony placed Caylee's remains in the trunk of her car. On the date that she backed the car into the garage and borrowed the neighbors shovel intending to bury her in the backyard. I think she removed caylee from the trunk and placed her on the ground in the backyard in the area where the cadaver dogs first alerted. For unknown reasons she changed her mind. She replaced Caylee's remains into the trunk of the car, and returned the shovel. She possibly tore open the bag or the bag opened during these transfers causing the spill of the fluid (the stain) and the emesis of gas into the trunk emitting the horrendous odor. She grabbed groceries and clothing from her parents and then left their home. She then plotted to stage the murder and purposely placed Caylee in a location that she felt Caylee would be found not too quickly but to buy her enough time to get together alibi's and spread her story that Caylee was again with the nanny. She then changed her clothes due to the stench and drove her car to the Amscot parking lot and called her boyfriend to pick her up. He did not get out of his car as she grabbed the bag of groceries and went to his vehicle. Her father mentioned I believe in a document that the vehicle had enough gas to drive away from the towing yard. Her mother washed the clothing that was found in the vehicle. Her parties and constant requests to get together with old highschool friends only add to the theory that she was trying to build alibis and not be alone for any time after she discarded the remains.
I believe that the fantasy world that Casey resided in could not have beared even her family to assume that she was careless and harmed her child even if by accident. She created her world by what was going on with the people around her. Remember her job title was that of her highschool friend that was pursuing a college degree for that position. She mentioned that she wanted to conduct private searches and told Lee to look in childhood places and nearby neighborhoods.
If this theory has not been considered please pass it on to the prosecutor as I don't think she acted careless/insane or in the heat of the moment. I think she carefully masterminded where to place the body and to get out of being a mother without having to face the consequence of jail.

If she and the family don't have the money to afford this team, then they should have legal aid lawyers like many of us would have to do. They are interested is justice???? Where is the justice for Caylee? Who is defending her? Has she been lost in all this....again?? Justice will be served only when Casey is found guilty and sent to prison for life with no possibility of parole. Why would the defense team's willingness to become involved for the publicity turn on whether Casey Anthony is guilty? It is the same publicity either way.

What a pity that so many people are using this child's misfortune for personal gain! It's absolutely disgraceful that Casey and her deceitful family are gaining so much fame that high powered professional are willing to prove that they are so good at what they do, that even a child killer can get off with their help! All of their work without compensation? I doubt it...they're banking on her acquittal. If she's acquitted, she'll do a book, movie, etc. and they'll all make their fortune, including the bankrupt, unemployed Casey and family! This will surely be an "american tragedy".
I agree with Jackie. As for the dream team, to me this speaks volumes about their intent. I have no respect for Dr. Henry Lee. All he did in the O.J. trial was confuse people. I think him and the others do an injustice to themselves and especially VICTIMS. Seems like the whole family forgot about Caylee. George might come through, if he can shut his stupid wife up! Baez is one of the only people i know of in this whole case who has stuck with casey no matter what. show me something that is not circumstantanual in this case. don't be so qick to judge people and their actions. It doesn't matter how many high-powered lawyers this psychopath has...anyone with average intelligence can plainly see that ANYONE who cared at all about her child would NEVER wait a month before reporting her missing. Everyone has lost count of all the lies, and how many wild goose chases she sent police on. Also, she was partying and having a great time when little Caylee was reported missing. Even her own mother wasn't told where the child was, and it was SHE who called the cops. For some of whom may not know this, the state of Florida had charged Casey with murder of Caylee before the remains of Caylee were even found. Florida already had there minds made up and were going to prosecute Casey with NO evidence before the time of the discovery. Now the state has to make another case against Casey. Question is, why would the Sheriffs department leak to the media and public important evidence pertaining to the case before the discovery? Would that be considered professional police work? Its no wonder why the dream team is there helping Casey. The state of Florida had no intentions of finding Caylee.
Also note that Roy Kronk, the one who found Caylee and reported it several times to the sheriff was arrested on kidnapping charges in the 1990's.
Justice of the peace, which is it,NO evidence or IMPORTANT evidence leaked to the public? Casey is the one who had no intentions of "finding Caylee". The Police based their case on the evidence they were given and through investigation.
The "Florida Grand Jury" Indicted Casey for murder and then the case was turned over to the Orlando District Attorney. There was enough evidence to indict her without the body of Caylee.They have a mountain of evidence against Casey and the most evidence against Casey we haven't heard yet.
The state of Florida has very liberal laws about discovery, and this isn't abnormal. The state of Florida exhausted the search of leads for Caylee. They knew Caylee was dead because the dead body was in Casey's trunk from the forensic evidence and the smell. The state doesn't need to make another case, they already have it!! The sheriff dept did a fantastic job putting this case together. They did this without the help of Casey; All Casey did was lie, she lied about everything, nothing she said was true. There was no nanny or zanny or Zenaida. Casey I believe is GUILTY. My opinion is based on the evidence,I have read the documents. What Casey did to Caylee was HORRIFIC !!!
Also, Roy Kronk was charged with kidnapping his girlfriend in the 90's but the charges were dropped and the charges were expunged. He also never tried to hide this info. He made this disclosure to his employers.
