The sexual assault happened in the early morning hours of February 4. As the victim was walking from a bus stop in the area of Northwest 62 Street and 22 Avenue in Miami, the suspect carrying a knife confronted her. According to police, he forced the victim to a dark area then sexually assaulted her, took her purse and fled on foot.

On Wednesday, police and Miami Dade Crime Stoppers will perform a reenactment hoping it will shed light on the investigation.

One rape occurred in October when a woman was sexually assaulted at gunpoint in the 3200 block of Virginia Street. Three weeks later, a male approached woman on Mary Street a few blocks away with a gun and forced himself inside her vehicle.

After sexually assaulting the victim, the suspect took her car keys and fled the area on foot, police said.

In all the cases, the females were assaulted when they were alone in the early morning hours. The suspect is described as approximately 5’7, wearing a skullcap and a bandanna covering his face.

Anyone with information concerning the subject should contact the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
