Jack O'Connor was a University of Massachusetts Police Officer for 21 years. He served 14 of those years as a shift supervisor. Sgt. O'Connor retired from the police department in 1977 and moved to New Orleans where he became employed in hotel security. He worked as a house detective for a four star hotel on Bourbon Street. He then served as Director of Security for a local hotel chain until Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans.
