The accused 'Craigslist' killer has been found dead in his Boston jail cell, apparently having committed suicide.
Philip Markoff, 24, a former medical student, had been jailed in Massachusetts for the last year. He was accused of murdering New York City masseuse Julissa Brisman, who he had hired for an erotic massage. Markoff hired Brisman after seeing an ad on Craigslist offering erotic massages.
Markoff was also accused of robbing a Las Vegas woman. The two crimes both occurred in the Boston area, within days of each other, back in April 2009.
Markoff had previously been on suicide watch while he was being held in jail.
