Breck Porter is editor and publisher of The Police News, a monthly publication with over 45,000 readers on the Texas Gulf Coast. Based in Galveston, Texas the newspaper and website are devoted exclusively to coverage of police and crime news and features photos and bios of wanted fugitives, registered sex offenders and highlights unsolved crimes in the distribution area. Porter is a former lawman. He began publishing online in 1999 and in print in 2004. The Police News furnishes news feeds to major media outlets on request and provided on scene coverage of Hurricane Ike to national media sources in 2008.
