GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -- A woman says "I feels violated", after her debit card number was stolen, after shopping at a local Walmart.
Sheila Smith used her debit card as a credit card, because she dosn't use that card very often. So I used it as a credit card because she didn't have her PIN number handy. Somehow, someone got her debit card information and used it without her permission.
Smith used the card at the Walmart in Travelers Rest last week. The next day her bank called her and said someone tried to use her debit card for an online account.
It wasn't for much money, but the bank called her because whoever tried to use the card didn't know the security code. The Secret Service is investigating the case as an inside job. This is the second time in a few months that the Travelers Rest Walmart had credit card numbers breached.
