Police believe that the rapist responsible for a sexual assault early this morning in the Logan Square neighborhood is also behind two other attacks.
The latest sexual assault occurred at about 2:30 a.m. today on the 2100 block of North Maplewood Avenue, near the the Blue Line's Western Avenue station as the victim was on her way home. The other two attacks, which are believed to be related, occurred on the 2300 block of West Moffat Street on February 5th, and on the 1700 block of North Marshfield Avenue on September 26th, according to police. Each of the attacks was committed by a black male, 20 to 30 years old, standing 5'6" to 5'8", weighting 180 to 200 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a medium to dark complexion, and a goatee.
