Man charged with 3 day long robbery and rape spree

A 20 year old man from the West Side of Chicago has been charged in connection with a 3 day robbery and rape spree.

Rashard Harris, a man from the 3100 block of West Warren Avenue, is being held without bail on charges of aggravated kidnapping, robbery, and aggravated criminal sexual assault.  DNA evidence from one of the attacks is said to link Harris to that sexual assault, and Harris also has two prior convictions for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.

In the first attack, the victim was on her way home in the 2100 block of West Gladys Avenue on February 13 when she allegedly saw Harris point a gun at her from a neighbor's yard.  Harris is then alleged to have taken her purse, jewelry, $3, and ATM card, sexually assaulted her, and then made her withdraw $300 from an ATM.

In the second attack, which took place on February 15, Harris is alleged to have approached a couple on the 700 block of Damen Avenue, tapped a gun against their car window, and demanded money, before making the female victim buy him cigarettes.  Harris then allegedly asked the male victim how he would feel if his "girl" were to be raped, at which point the male victim said that the female was pregnant.  Harris is then alleged to have left without raping the woman, but only after taking $53, they car keys, and firing a shot at the ground.

In the final attack, Harris is alleged to have approached a woman on the 1300 block of West Lake Street, forced her into her car at gunpoint, and made her drive him around.  After a while, Harris is alleged to have told the woman that she could be raped and give up her cell phone and car, or in the alternative she could die.  Harris is then alleged to have made the woman perform a sex act upon him before escaping with her property.

I have a cousin with DD who lives in a group home in NYC (Fineson Residence, Lower East Side). It is well known that the manager of the facility Curtis Walker, has stolen tens of thousands of dollars worth of supplies, foodstuffs, household equipment and petty cash reserves. Curtis Walker has also sexually assaulted consumers and even staff members, This atrocious behavior is still tolerated at group homes and should cease now. This well known liar and thief has seriously damaged the credibility of the organization who hired him and for some reason, chose to over look his drug past. It is incredible that a man delegated with so much authority would steal and essentially abuse our most vulnerable citizens. This is not uncommon with DD facilities. With their low wages and benefits the hiring pool has intrinsically lowered the bar. This same individual was terminated from his previous job for allegations of sexual assault on an elderly female consumer
