A decision to drink and drive cost a Chicago man his life and another young man his future.
Anthony Galvan, 21, of the 5400 block of West 59th Street, is charged with drunk driving in a Sunday accident that killed a 27-year-old Benito Ruiz Ramirez.
Police say Galvan was going the wrong way on a one way street at 2:55 a.m. when he struck another car at the intersection of 58th and California.
Galvan and his 20-year-old passenger were not hurt.
Here are the charges against Galvan:
- Aggravated DUI in an accident resulting in death
- DUI any amount of drug
- Failure to reduce speed
- Driving the wrong way on a one way street
- Failure to yield the right of way
- No insurance
- Reckless driving
