The Associated Press is reporting the case of a 6-year-old Indiana child afflicted with meth mouth after prolonged exposure to vapors in her home.
Meth mouth is the term used to describe the rotting teeth and sores associated with methamphetamine use.
The AP says the child's parents, Debra Benedict Baxter and Phillip Dalton, allegedly cooked meth in their home. The child breathed in the noxious fumes. Court records show the child tested positive for meth, according to the AP.
The parents are charged with dealing in methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.
