
Police in Sauk Village are investigating a murder suicide, the third murder-suicide in the Chicago area in recent days.
Paul Gunn, of the 2400 block of West 159th Street in Markham, allegedly shot and killed himself after police pulled him over to question him about the shootings of his ex-wife and her male companion in Sauk Village last night.
The male companion died, and the ex-wife was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Chicago Tribune. The shooting occurred on the 22400 block of Jeffrey.
Police continue to investigate the apparent murder-suicide of a West Side couple on Thanksgiving. Antwone Coleman is suspected of killing his new wife during an argument. He then left his apartment on the 3400 block of West Madison and shot himself to death on the street a few blocks away.
On Wednesday morning, the bodies of Thomas Mangiantini, his wife Elzabeth, and their two preteen sons were found in their home in suburban Addison. Investigators say Thomas shot his family to death and then killed himself. The motive remains unknown.
