Coweta County EMS works became victims of an accident when a family in a car crash into the ambulance and was ejected from their car on Raymond Hill Road over the weekend.  The accident happened Saturday afternoon when the driver of the van lost control on slick roads.

Officials say the van struck the ambulance and flipped over several times before coming to a stop in a ditch.  A 14 year old passenger in the vehicle was recovering Thursday night at Children's Health Care At Eagleston Hospital.  Renae Sanders, 39 her mother was recovering At Atlanta Medical Center.  Both were in Critical Injury.  Authorities say the woman and her daughter were both lucky because the EMS workers not injured and were able to come to their rescue.  Dannis Martin and Jeremy Fields say after a moment to get themselves together, they sprang into action and went to help the injured mother and daughter. Police say Sanders and her daughter Ashley suffered serious head injuries.  Police say neither the mother or daughter was wearing a seat belt.
