Murder and mayhem in merry old England

It's the conference that mystery afficienados crave, one of the the most exciting crime fiction festivals in the world.  It's the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival, and it will take place in Harrogate, UK from July 23-26.

It's a star-studded event, and best of all, there's still time to attend

.Lee Child, creator of the wildly successful Jack Reacher novels will be there along with famed author Laura Lippman, author of Life Sentences.  Lee Child says, "I love the Festival and as usual I'm going under false pretences - they invited me as a speaker but I'm coming as a fan ... it's a chance to catch up with some of my favorite authors, and to discover new ones."

Laura Lippman is a popular presenter at the festival, as well, conducting talks with luminaries like Karin Slaughter and Harlan Coben.  Ms. Lippman says, "This year, they've paired me with my own husband, David Simon, and George Pelecanos."

It's not too late to grab a bargain flight and cross the Pond to meet fabulous mystery authors from all over the world. Whether you're a mystery writer or a devoted fan, this is the one conference you don't want to miss.
