The final portion of the top ten most promising books on film for the year 2010 is Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I.
NOVEL: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling
DIRECTOR: David Yates
SCREENPLAY: Steve Kloves
CAST: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Bonnie Wright, Tom Felton, Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Jamie Campbell Bower,
RELEASE DATE (U.S.): November 19th
OFFICIAL WEBSITE: HarryPotter.com
STORY: Harry Potter leaves Hogwarts for good to seek out an end to his perilous and long fight against the dark forces of the wizarding world. He is joined by his most trusted companions along the way.
WHY IT MADE THE LIST: It's Harry Potter. Of course it is a promising book-based film! Over the last decade (yes, decade), the Harry Potter films have been a mainstay of popular culture (and most of them have been rather good). With the added leeway of an extra film to translate the book (the first occasion of this in Harry Potter book-to-film history), it'll certainly be interesting to see what David Yates and Steve Kloves do with the Deathly Hallows story.
