The "New Moon" new book cover (the movie-tie in book cover) has been revealed! Little, Brown seems to be hoping that they'll pull in some new readers with this one, but also hoping that the current fans will all run out and buy second copies of this book... and I admit, I may be sucker enough to do it. (Just joking. Maybe.)
All kidding aside, this is a pretty darn good cover. Kristen Stewart looks amazing, truly a natural beauty with her own kind of seduction. The ever-looming presence of Edward in her mind is obvious here, though he looks a bit creepier than I would have thought. Taylor Lautner looks perfect! Protective, wild, he's really got Jacob Black down pat.
I love that they included the rest of the wolf pack, supporting him, "having his back", however you want to phrase it. They're just as important in this series as he is, if you ask me. (Hello, "Eclipse" would have been rough without them.) I also love that they're standing on a cliff! Oh, so wonderful. As if he's holding her back from jumping off (which we know he metaphorically does, though literally is unsuccessful in that venture) and it's just such a great way to visually describe their relationship. Not to mention, that it actually happens. (For once they're going off of something that occurred in the novels, versus some crazy thing they conjured up around the writer's table - cough field trip cough)
So what do you think, readers? Yay or nay? For a book that certainly actually turned some Edward fans into "Team Jacob" the cover seems to be doing a great job illustrating that fact.

I absolutely LOVE this! I am a fan for anything romance, and being a beginner writer of paranormal romance series myself I have to say... I LOVE this book cover!
omg i love it soooooooooooo much and im actually a team jasper fan but still i love it the best book cover i have ever seen dang thats a good cover i think i will go buy another copy of the book and i already have the entire series lol i can't wait to see the movie though im a huge twihard fan

I think it IS GREAT actually. If you really did read New Moon and I mean all of it, not just skipping to the parts pertaining to Edward, then this is a perfect interpretation of that moment, right before she finds out that Alice has come back. When she is with Jacob after her near drowning, she is pondering if she could possibly make him "her Jacob", and she hears Edward's voice in her head * BE HAPPY ** In this poster, she is not staring at Jacob, she is looking off to the side, with a perfectly apprehensive "should I or should I not" look and Jacob looks like he is, just as he was in the book, determined on what he wants to do. And at that moment, he wants to make Bella his. All the while, the pain and longing in Edwards eyes is piercing. Even though the books says he wasn't the voice she was hearing, it says she was in his thoughts every second of every day and it was breaking his heart. Sorry ya'll, but I think it is great!!
I guess I have to be the dissenting voice. Kristin and Jacob look good, but Edward's image is not at all satisfactory. I agree with the creepy designation by Megan. It also doesn't look by R Pattinson. Yuk! Did you notice that Kristin's left hand is in a fist almost pushing against Jacob as if to say, "I am not sure....Maybe not....."

But bella and jacob wow she looks like she is pushing him away shes want to jump but jacob is holding her tightly the cover is just perfect cant wait to see the heartbreaking and tormented new moon. team jacob.

...But I don't like it that much. I mean don't get me wrong, I LOVE the books, but Edward isn't holding Bella. He's off in the background, almost forgotten. If it was Edward with his arms around Bella it would be better. But Taylor looks great. Only I wish it was Edward holding Bella.
Lucy, I zoomed in on the corner and I don't think Victoria's there in the illustration; I didn't see anything that looked like her hair/a flame. :/
I love that book cover!!! It's just lovely!!! I think that it's better than the first cover because it shows the main idea of the feeligns of the characters.
I think this cover is awesome and it really does describe what the book is about. Jacob looks so protective about Bella. And Bella looks like she does want Jacob, but at the same time, it looks like she is pushing him away. This shows that she is not sure about what she wants with Jacob. Then the pack having Jacob's back. I was just sad that Edward was on the back looking so creepy, but I think that it was to show that he had left her and now he was away...
