Inca Textiles was born from one woman's love of fashion and her passion for the craft of knitting.

Carmela Pinillos de Brouwer, Peruvian native and successful mompreneur has created a line of women's knitwear, Inca Textiles, uniquely different and one to watch. It was Carmela's travels which helped her realize how wonderful it would be to share the beautiful handmade weaving of her homeland with the rest of the world. Using the richest fibers indigenous to Peru, Alpaca Wool and Pima Cotton, and employing local Peruvian artists, the collections are hand-loomed making them silky-soft, exceptionally resilient and super comfortable. Inca Textiles prides itself on creating high quality, stylish pieces that can be worn time and time again.

Carmela has had the unique opportunity to be inspired by the world’s greatest places, people and experiences in her life. She currently oversees production and works on new designs from her California studio. As Inca Textiles continues to grow, Carmela continues to grow as an individual, which in turn inspires her create pieces for women everywhere. “There's nothing worse, than not trying what you believe in. Try it! There’s nothing you could lose.”

Recently, Inca Textiles participated in the gift bags for the women honorees at the 2010 LA Femme Film Festival in South Los Angeles. The honorees included Sara Gilbert, Marla Gibbs, Marianne Jean Baptista, Diablo Cody and Frances Collier & Angela Shelton.
