It’s not just at beer festivals where you can find good beer to drink. It doesn’t even have to be at a bar. Sometimes, it can be at a museum. “A museum?” you say. Indeed, as every first Friday of the month, Sonoma County Museum presents First Friday.
First Friday is an evening of entertainment for museum goers. Featuring the beer of Lagunitas Brewing and the wine of Diamond Oaks Winery, guests are welcome to enjoy their beverages and complimentary snacks within the lobby. No food or drinks are allowed in the gallery.
For September, The Dan McGhee Three will provide jazz music for guests. In October the entertainment will again feature jazz with Mount Taylor Jazz performing.
Admission is free for museum members and $5 for non-members, Membership starts at as low as $20. All proceeds from beer, wine and admission go directly to the Sonoma County Museum.
While supporting the museum, it would be a terrible idea to drink and drive, so be sure to take the bus to the nearby Santa Rosa Transit Mall. With the added traffic on the roads this Labor Day weekend be sure to drive safely or use public transportation.
