How does sipping on adult beverages and gorging on delish hors d'oeuvres with baboons, giraffes and naked mole rats sound? Hey, it certainly doesn't get any more unique!
On Thursday night the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will be holding Moonlight on the Mountain where you can mix and mingle under the stars with zoo animals! Guests will enjoy food compliments of CMZ's award-winning Chef Beau and Wildthings Catering. Beer lovers will be quenchified with liquid gold from Bristol Brewing, while vino aficionados will be satiated by Sovereignty Wines. Both of these adult beverage makers are located right here in Colorado Springs.
If that weren't enough, the animals - and humans - will rock out to a live three-hour concert by The Martini Shot, a six-piece pop/rock/ska band complete with a killer horn section, based in Southern Colorado. The Shot is a must see band!
The price of admission gets you the full CMZoo experience, which includes behind the scenes animal experiences, four (4) complimentary drinks, heavy appetizers, and the concert. Four drinks not enough? There'll be multiple cash bars scattered across the zoo grounds. If you've never been this is the perfect opportunity. Due to the fact that it's tiered against the mountain, hiking around it can be arduous. Don't let that stop you! Trams will be running all night. Besides... no kids + alcoholic beverages + music and monkeys = great time!

Tickets can be purchased online before the event for a mere $25. But you only have until 5:00pm TONIGHT to cash in on that deal. After 5:00pm tickets will only be available at the door on the day of the event, and they will cost $10 more (that's a total of $35 each for the mathematically challenged). All proceeds go to helping take care of CMZ's animals.
