This past May, a modern new hotel opened up in the heart of downtown. The Wit Hotel, (201 N. State St.) features a hot, new “gastropub”, named, appropriately, State and Lake. Located on the ground floor of the Wit, State and Lake is reminiscent of an English style pub with its huge wrap-around bar.
