Jack Frost at protest in Glens Falls, NY on Saturday June 12, 2010
Jack Frost received an early Father's Day gift in the form of a letter yesterday from his son's pediatrician stating that the Do Not Resuscitate or DNR order had been lifted. The news came five days after Jack and some of his friends held a protest in front of the pediatrician's Glens Falls office.
The DNR had been put in place without Frost's permission or even any input from him. Frost who says that his son is disabled but cognitively bright should not be subject to a DNR order. Disability rights advocates argue that DNR orders are often misread as Do Not Treat rather than Do Not Resuscitate.
Frost had spent months trying to get politicians and the traditional media to help him but to little avail. Finally, he took to the street with his concerns on Saturday, June 12.
Frost's victory is not only a victory for non-custodial parents, it is a victory for all parents. It is also a victory for disability rights, for the right to life, and for non-traditional, internet media that was willing to cover the story when the traditional print and television media failed to respond to Frost.

Protesting works.
Hello Mr. Frost and Mr. Frost and Mr. Weaver, Would you consider joining us on the West Coast to fight Family Court Corruption? We are fighting for rights with our children, most of us have falsely been placed on "supervised visitation" or have "no contact" orders with our children. There are so many of us out there, we would like to join together to help each other. I am grateful to read this article and see some justice.
