While the State of Arkansas has presented no evidence that Albert and Miriam Krantz have ever abused or neglected their children or any children, the evidence is starting to mount that the six Krantz children have not fared so well while in Arkansas State custody since November of 2008.
The most recent example of neglect and abuse of the children by the State of Arkanasas and Miller County Department of Human Services occurred recently when two of the younger children, ages 2 and 3, had to sleep on the floor of a DHS office. DHS did not even have blankets for the children and had to call their parents to bring some.
It is alleged that the two children were removed from foster care last Thursday, although no reason has been given for the removal. One can only wonder about what might have happened in foster care that would have caused their removal.
But this is just the last episode of mistreatment of Albert and Miriam Krantz and their children by the State of Arkansas and Miller County DHS. The following is a partial list of some of the ways the Krantz children have been abused and neglected by the state and county.
1. The children have been separated from each other, instead of being kept together.
2. The children have been farmed out to strangers, even though their grandmother, Dana Minnabarriet, has the desire, means and room to take care of all of them. Minnabarriet had a meeting with Steve Mason, head of Miller County DHS, the day after the state seized her grand-children. It was her understanding that she would be given custody of the children, but it never happened. Furthermore, the children have been placed in homes that don't share their parents religious views. This is similar to what the government did to native American children up until the late 1970s.
3. On at least one occasion the children were denied a court ordered visit. A certified letter from Albert and Miriam Krantz to case worker, Kay Smallwood, indicates that Smallwood refused to let the parents visit one of their children on at least one occasion without an adequate reason for the refusal. They were not allowed to call their child, resulting in no contact between the parent and child for a period of two weeks.
4. Mr. and Mrs. Krantz are allowed to visit their children once a week. This is not a very liberal visitation policy considering that they have not been charged with any crimes. Many states allow parents, in similar circumstances, to visit their children several times a week.
5. Mr. and Mrs. Krantz dropped off Winter coats for their children on November 19, 2008. It took seven or eight days for DHS to distribute the coats to the children, according to their parents. Furthermore, the two youngest did not receive their favorite blanket, bunny and pacifier for seven or eight days, even though these infants were of the age where these items were necessities not luxuries.
6. Mr. and Mrs. Krantz state that their children are suffering from Reactive Attachment Disorder because of actions on the part of the state.
7. The very act of taking the children was an act of child abuse, particularly when there was no evidence that the children had been abused or neglected. One can only imagine what it was like for young children to be traveling on the road and to be surrounded by police cars, dozens of cops and social workers, with a helicopter overhead, then to be taken from the van and placed into foster care.
But then we don't need to imagine it. The video below shows clearly the trauma of the children as well as that of Miriam Krantz. The police and social workers appear to be without emotion as the children cry and the mother cries. At about 2:12 minutes into the video, you can hear the toneless, robotic social worker drone on and on with her questions as the children begin to wail louder and louder. Albert Krantz has a difficult time focusing on answering the questions and on his children's discomfort at the same time.
Debra Ondrisek, mother of two children seized in an earlier raid, describes the effect of the raid on the children. "On September 20, 2008, my sixteen year old daughter was kidnapped by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Arkansas State Police, and FBI, in a militaristic raid which included over one hundred agents, police cars, helicopters, snipers, men armed with machine guns, bullet proof vests, and riot gear, TO KIDNAP SIX GIRLS, while searching for evidence against Pastor Alamo. The machine guns with lasers were pointed directly at my two daughters; my older daughter is twenty years old. We live in Texarkana, AR, and my daughter had been visiting her older sister in Fouke that afternoon when the raid occurred. One child who was taken had just returned from visiting seniors at a nursing home."
"The raid itself was so traumatizing to all the children of our church. Children who always felt safe and secure in their Christian homes started having nightmares. When they would hear a siren or see a person in uniform, they would get hysterical. Some children wouldn’t let their mothers out of their sight for fear of being kidnapped. One twelve year old boy started losing his mind due to the terror he had of being kidnapped from his parents. One little happy-go-lucky seven year old girl was physically sick for two days, depressed and in despair that she’d soon be taken from her family. Two of the six girls who were taken were so tormented and depressed that they stated if they were not Christians, they would commit suicide. Now, for the twenty recently kidnapped children, their worst nightmares have come true."
Once Judge Griffin's gag order is lifted and the children are reunited with their parents, I have no doubt that many more instances of mistreatment of the Krantz children as well as the other children seized by DHS last year will be forthcoming.
When they do, they will be reported here.

The children should sue the state when they are returned to their parents. All those tapes and videos should be supoenad and kept and not made to disappear and should be used in a damage suit for millions of dollars.
Isn't this the same Pastor Tony? The article from 'Braking New 24/7' continues, "Alamo, 74, is accused of taking five girls across state lines for sex between 1994 and 2005."
If it is then I think there might be another side to this story.
Concerned Reader, Tony Alamo has been convicted by a jury, but Albert and Miriam Krantz are not therefore guilty. Mr. and Mrs. Krantz have not been charged with any crime. There is not two sides to this story. There are two stories. One is the story of Tony Alamo who is in prison. The other story is that of the Krantz family who have not done anything wrong but are being treated as if they had.
If your priest or minister was convicted of a crime, would you want your children taken away from you because you went to his church and he was your leader?
This is the horrible reality of Arkansas. DCFS has figured out how to make a fortune for the state off our children and they are doing it. They are further working in collusion with the judges and some corrupt cops.
My grand children were taken in Feb. We have presented everything we can to show the corruption and truth. Yet the judge just ignores the facts. I used to love this state. Now all I can think is get my family out.
Great article, Dan most journalist don't have the guts to say things that you are saying. Those Krants children are native American's which makes their kidnapping even more illegal under the Native American child wellfare act which prohibits states from confiscating Indian children unless the parents are convicted felons. The FBI has also threatened other Indian families with removing their children if they didn't stop sympathizing with the church and its families. We were found Not Guilty but the charges are still on our records. We did get our kids back after 8 months of hell but they changed for the worse after all they had been through.
DHS in Arkansas is horrible. My daughter fosters and has had nothing but trouble. They are removing a 22 month old child from her home because they are moving and the guardian ad litem doesn't want to do the paperwork to keep the child with them. DHS knew they were moving when they placed the child. This will make the 5th home she has been in - in the last year.
My family has had some dealings with the DHS or here in NC it's the DSS. My wife and I had to go to the hospital at the same time. the DSS told us they would take care of them, 3, and give them back as soon as we got out of the hospital. Well, that was a LIE!!! We found out they had split our children up into 3 different homes, and paying the people running the nasty places MONEY! It took us 2 months of fighting in court to get our own children back! The whole system should be looked at and the judges and "social workers", crooks and perverts, should be put in jail!!!! LET THE CHILDREN GO HOME TO THE PARENTS THAT LOVE THEM AND ARE TRYING TO RAISE THEM CHRISTIANS!!!!! Is it a crime to be a Christian in America now?!!!

All the parents have to do is get a job and move, and their kids would quit going through this. I would move heaven and earth for my child, I can't imagine being lazy like these parents are. Get out of your comfort zone, quit relying on the state, and you ALAMO followers aren't the only ones that have salvation. See you on judgement day.
I just watched the movie, Changeling, a lot like whats happening with the alamo kids, Corruption from the dhs, the police,the fbi and most likely well paid crooked judges, and no one's got the balls to say anything or big bro. might come after them. This govt. is out of control, and out of the closet with its trampling of the constitution, and as long as no one stands up and protest this crap its going to get worse and worse. What is wrong with you? They are no better than the crackheads or anyone else that lose their kids and do nothing to get them back. They should follow judges orders. They are not martyrs, they are just very lost and brainwashed. Wake up, and quit putting your kids through this. It is just sad and wrong.

The Krantz family, along with other members of the church have done a lot of good for people, especially the poor. This is a serious case. These people have not been charged with any crime. They are being asked to give up their religion or their children. You are like the people in World War 2 Germany who laughed when the Jews were taken away, but didn't laugh so much when it was there turn to be taken to a concentration camp.
I have a child with PDD. His friend was caught acting inappropriatley. His friend claimed he learned it with my son. DHS swooped down and interviewed my son in a room with the CAC, a police officer,DHS, and a detective. They would not let him out of the room until he produced another name. He was kept there for an hour. DHS has threatened to take our 3 year old away. My son is 9 years old. We were told DHS can do what ever they want without a judge's concent. If they take my kids, that's just tough luck. They told us to do what ever they tells us to do and don't tick them off or else. Nobody should have that kind of power. Someone needs to step up to the plate and put a cap on DHS's abuse. If you work for the government please investigate these people. They are doing more harm then good!

Arkansas mom and corrosy, you are some of the most ignorant people I ever heard of. I know those people personally and you for sure are not Christians. What have you ever done to help people, especially people that hate you. The Alamo church has helped the people of Fouke on several occasions, including paying thousands of dollars for a generator to give the whole city water when a storm knocked out the power. And they did this after the city of Fouke took away their water a few years before. Don't tell me they are lazy. You are lazier than they ever thought of being. One of the parents did move away from the property and get a job and they still did not give his kids back. Why don't you wake up and realize this isn't America, this is NAZI GERMANY.

I am writing you this letter today as a concerned father trying to get his children back. A little over a year ago my soon to be ex wife took our 3 children from my care in Kentucky and fled to Arkansas without my acknowledgment. What was suppose to be a nice weekend with their mother turned into our 11 month old little girl ending up with over 11 broken bones and my wife getting all 3 of them taken away by White County DHS in Searcy, Arkansas. She lied to them about my whereabouts and said she had no clue where I was or how to get in touch with me. About 3 months later and after several attempts to find out where my children were and several calls to the police I received a letter at my place of employment from Arkansas Division of Child Support. I called them to find out what was going on and that is when I found they had been taken into DHS custody so I contacted them. From that day on I have fought every day to get my girls back and nothing seems
Arkansas DHS gives more trouble it seems to father's and want to "reunify" with the bad mothers. My son is going through the same. Mother lived in a meth house, was busted for meth lab and endangering children. Her mother got the kids for foster care which means she has been paid to keep them while in the meantime we are spending a lot of money on a lawyer to even get to see them and we are not the offending parties. He gets 1 hour supervised visit a week and drug tested and a lot of attitude while she has "supervised" visits with her mother as the supervisor. Its crap. I even wrote the DHS head in Little rock. was told everything was just a "conincidence" and still the kids remain in custody. Oh yeah its a racket for money making scams and people with "God" complexes. I hope you fair better than we are at the moment.
My children were taken by DHS in Miller cty a few weeks ago my boys are 15 and 14 they also have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and are wheelchair bound with very limited muscle use. I had let a girl stay at my house for a couple weeks because she had a small child, well he had rolled off the couch and hit his eye on the coffee table and later on that day we found a non poisionous snake under my couch well this female took pictures of the snake and her 2yr olds eye and sent it to someone (no harm intended) and they called dhs and the sheriff dept and said the baby had been snake bit. They came to my house and asked for her told me it had nothing to do with. Me or my boys. Well the next thing I know I was being asked to provide a urine specimen for dhs according to the worker I did not provide enough and the police ran my name I had an old warrant I knew nothing about and of course I was arrested. DHS refused to let me dress my boys put them in their chairs I could not even talk to them. Their grandmother was here at my house to get my boys and they refused to let her have them. They were loaded up in an ambulance taken to the hospital to be checked nout which they were given a very clean bill of health I was released the next day dhs had already taken custody of my boys took them from everything they know and love and sent them to conway arkansas to a facility for mentaly challenged people . They are scared the reason for removal is inadequate supervision. I am with my boys 24/7
They are never left alone. They do not deserve such treatment. The boys are being mistreated mishandled they are confused scared and very homesick. The worker lied outright on the papers I was served she is very rude and they definetly DO NOT have the childrens best interest at heart its al about the money they get not once have my boys been questioned about our lifestyle if they are abused nothing at all. I took care of my boys by myself doing all the lifting dressing the restroom help showers I did it all my husband works all day and helped at night. They are now saying I gave them a dirty ua at the jail when they came for a specimen it is a LIE because I know I have not done any kind of illegal substances. I asked for a new test a hair test a blood test I have not been given the chance to prove she is wrong. The problem is DHS/CPS have the power to destry families they don't rebuild them these women are way too big for the pants they wear something needs to be done if they don't like the way a person looks they remove their children and will make up allegations to do so and the judges are ignorant to the fact that the worker is a liar. He never gave us a chance to speak or anything maybe he is just as corrupt. DHS in Oklahoma is also corrupt and self-serving. In a case involving our grandchildren, they have repeatedly ignored the facts because they put the mother in the most wrong and are detemined to place all the blame on the father, even though past court records and even DHS records site a case history against the mother. This does not involve physical abuse against the children, just between the parents. They as well as others have ignored the facts that present the mother as the instigator, with a history of sucj involving other parties, not her children. While it may me true in a number of cases that women are the victim, that does not apply to all, and it is sad that DHS has neither the desire nor willingness to obtain and apply the relevant facts.
