“It is no use saying, 'We are doing our best.' You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.” -- Winston Churchill
In the wee hours of the morning on Christmas Eve the United States Senate skulked into their chambers under the darkness of night and passed Obamacare, a legislative nightmare that might be the most intrusive bill in American history. It not only gives the Congress complete control of one sixth of the American economy, it forces Americans to purchase health insurance under penalty of law and is a major step toward removing individual choice from healthcare. It also allows bureaucrats to make life and death health care decisions on behalf of our senior citizens.
Think not? Section 3403 of Senator Harry Reid’s amendment to the national health care bill requires that: It shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.
By attaching section 3403 to his amendment Reid has made it illegal for Congress to change or repeal a specific, solitary section of the Obamacare legislation. They must keep hands off any change in the language that provides for Independent Medicare Advisory Boards.
The left cried foul and called Sarah Palin a liar after she breathed the words, “Death panels.” But there it is; Independent Medicare Advisory Boards are just another way of describing Death Panels.
In addition to Section 3403, the Senate bill requires a Super Majority to repeal any portion of the remainder of the bill. That means three fourths of the legislature must agree to revisions assuring that, should Congress experience a change in leadership in 2010, Obamacare will remain intact.
America, what have you done? The left fostered such hatred in you for the Bush administration that you voted for any change, just as long as it was a repudiation of Bush policies (which weren’t so bad in retrospect.)
You not only sent a man with Marxist leanings to the White House, you gave him a single party majority in both Houses of Congress. They proceeded to ram through at lightning speed some of the most onerous legislation we have ever seen, even though the majority of Americans were opposed.
Never mind that Section 3403 is unconstitutional, those rabid ideologues passed the bill anyway. They are willing to fall on their political swords, sacrificing their political careers, just as long as they can fundamentally change America before their passing.
Conservatives and Independents tried hard, even gathered in the nation’s streets, making speeches and carrying signs, to send a message to Congress that they did not want the health care bill. We gave it our best shot and lost that battle in the Senate. But now is not the time to surrender.
It’s time to launch a new offensive before Congress can reconcile the Senate version of the health care fiasco with the House of Representatives. Because as soon as Obama signs Oamacare into law, Congress will begin the process to pass Cap and Trade, which will plunge a dagger into the heart of America as we know it.
There were many House and Senate rules that could have been used to stall this health care travesty, but in the interest of “civility in the halls of Congress,” they didn’t use them. But the current Republican leadership doesn’t have the fire in their bellies to do whatever it takes to win. If not now, when?
We need a hardnosed strategy that can begin with lawsuits. Conservative law firms across America can challenge the legality of payments to states in return for votes. In addition, lawyers can question the constitutionality of many of the provisions within the health care bill, something that the Republicans should have done in the first place.
In the mean time, Americans can begin to phone their representatives daily and demand that they block passage of both Obamacare and Cap and Trade. Overload the system with messages. Write letters; fire off multiple emails; send telegrams; let them know that we are mad as hell.
Demand that the worst of them, those who accepted multi-million dollar payoffs for their states in exchange for their “yes” vote, immediately resign. If they won’t resign, launch recall initiatives and circulate petitions for their removal from office. Invest some of our dollars in the political campaigns of constitutional conservatives at the local, state and national levels, regardless of their party affiliation, and then work hard for their election.
We can’t expect much help from the main stream press, so we’ll have to educate ourselves, our families, friends, and neighbors to the danger that lies ahead and enlist them to join us in the battle.
Dick Morris paraphrased Winston Churchill recently with this statement: If they beat us in the Senate, we will fight them in conference. If they beat us in conference, we will fight them in the House. If they beat us in the House over healthcare, we will fight them over cap and trade. We will fight them over immigration and amnesty. We will fight them over the deficit. We will fight them over the debt. And we will fight them in 2010. We will fight them in the House. We will fight them for Senate seats in Connecticut, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, and Arkansas. We will fight them in Colorado and North Dakota and California and Washington State. We will fight them in Illinois and in New Jersey. We will never, never, never, never give up! Our country is at stake!
It’s time for a new American Revolution. Not only is our country at stake, but the very freedom that we hold so dear.

I sincerely hope the conservatives and everyone else in our country challenge the legality of Obamacare. Surely the Christian Scientists can not be happy that they are now required by law to purchase healthcare. Forgive my ignorance, but isn't this tantamount to requiring Jewish people to buy pork?
This is a VERY DANGEROUS bill and needs to be stopped at all costs. If conservatives have to work day and night, this is the time to pull out all the stops. It's a bad egg and can't be fixed because it's rooted and grounded in lies, manipulation, sell outs and deceit. Come countrymen; rid us of this vermin.
I think a lot of us are frustrated because it seems like there's nothing we can really do except sit around and wait to vote. I'd like to challenge the constitutionality in court, for example (I'd also like to repeal all current laws made in the name of 'global warming') but I have no clue how. Can't find much on the internet, no money to hire lawyers. Ideas, anyone?
I consider myself a conservative that believes in the U.S. as a republic, but I in no way consider myself a Republican. Republicans are the worse kind.
I watched Republicans finally succeed in giving tax dollars to corporations. What they couldn't do via social security they did by "stimulus". The Republicans expanded the Government and called it "The Patriot Act". What a sham.
The insurance companies are so big and lobby so much that they are as much a government agency as anything else. Please Republicans quit telling lies. The Republicans led this charge to socialism.
"Invest some of our dollars in the political campaigns of constitutional conservatives at the local, state and national levels, regardless of their party affiliation, and then work hard for their election" ... sounds like this writer is an independent conservative and not a Republican
Just a few examples:
Can Congress constitutionally require Americans to buy medical insurance?
Did Congress lack the constitutional power to give a lame-duck, unelected treasury secretary unchecked and unsupervised power to dispense a trillion dollars of taxpayer money?
Does Obama have the constitutional power to appoint unaccountable czars to rule over virtually every aspect of our lives?
Are American citizens about to be stripped of their constitutional right to bear arms?
What are unenumerated constitutional rights, and why have they never been recognized?
Where does the Constitution say that convicts are entitled to law libraries?
The answers to these and scores of other questions about Americas Constitution will, for good or ill, determine much about the future of the United States of our nation.
Those who are committed to fighting for that future must acquire a basic understanding of the Constitution's origins and birth, its written text, the ma
The authors comment regarding the Bush policies "werent so bad in retrospect."
Based on what I've lived through I feel that in retrospect the Bush and Republican have been the worst. Republicans are responsible for this charge to socialism.
This article is just pro-Republican hot air written by a shill.
The entire thing is illegal, but some how they are getting away with it, get out and see your senators, call them your reps, senate, congress, any of them call the white house dont just say there is nothing that you can do, go protest at your local federal buildings try getting into a Syracuse office like Schumers or Gillibrands they have them locked you cant get in, suppose to be our offices????? whats up with that? All I know is conservatives cant do it all alone the rest can help this is an catastrophe that must be stopped instantly.
