Edward L. Andrist, 52, of Deer Creek has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography for the more than 3,000 images he has of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Andrist was previously convicted in Otter Tail county in 2003 for possessing child pornography.
The maximum penalty for this charge in federal court would be twenty years in prison.
This case is a part of Project Safe Childhood, (PSC,) a national initiative to fight sexual exploitation of children, specifically over the internet.http://www.projectsafechildhood.gov/
In 2008, PSC made 2,289 child pornography indictments in federal court.
