The Paisleys welcomed baby No. 2 on April 17.
During the recent Academy of Country Music Awards, Brad Paisley waited anxiously at home with his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, accepting all his trophies via satellite ... just in case the couple's second baby decided April 5 was the right time to enter the world.
That wait, however, ended Friday morning, April 17, when the Father of the Bride star, also known as Mrs. Paisley, delivered the couple's second child, a boy, who joins older brother William Huckleberry "Huck" Paisley, 2.
Born at a Nashville hospital, the Paisleys have not yet publicly released the chosen name for their new son, but given his older brother's name, it's likely to interesting to see what the Grammy-winning Paisley and his missus come up with this go around.
First-born Huck, who introduced Brad and Kimberly to parenthood on Feb. 22, 2007, was named after Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn character. Regarding Huck, his proud papa has called him "a free thinker."
As for Paisley, 36, being a big-time country star's great, but it pales in comparison to being a doting and proud dad.
"I never had (a sibling)," Paisley said during last November's Country Music Association Awards in Nashville. "I was an only child. I think (Huck) will be a great big brother. He'll learn to share, which is something I never did!"
