Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles will star in their first network-TV special on ABC and release a live CD/DVD on Aug. 3.
Multi-platinum Sugarland, composed of lead-singer Jennifer Nettles and co-songwriter/guitarist Kristian Bush, will unleash a live CD/DVD on Tuesday, Aug. 4, that will be available for purchase only at Wal-Mart.
Sugarland: Live on the Inside is the title of the duo’s forthcoming project, which was filmed at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky., with Shaun Silva serving as director. In the footage, some 20 cameras capture the award-winning pair’s artistry that takes center stage during the act's hits, including “Settlin,’” “Stay,” “All I Want To Do” and “Something More,” to name but four.
Now ranked as one of the genre’s most consistent and popular artists, Sugarland—most recently—hit the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Pop Albums chart with their latest CD, Love on The Inside.
Country fans were first introduced to Sugarland in 2004 with Twice The Speed Of Life. Since then, the act’s scored three platinum discs, back to back, and nabbed multiple Grammys, not to mention a collection of American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music honors, CMT Music Awards and the Country Music Association titles.
Now, just five years later, Nettles and Bush are preparing not only for the release of their live CD/DVD, but also set to star in their debut network-TV special, which will be broadcast 8-9 p.m. (ET) on Monday, Aug. 3, on ABC.
Needless to say, it’s no coincidence that the duo’s TV special is slated to air only a day before the Sugarland: Live on the Inside CD/DVD goes on sale at Wally World. Nonetheless, true-blue fans will undoubtedly want to own this release, since it contains performance footage that’s not included in the ABC special of the same name.
One of Sugarland's recent hit-videos is in honor of "All I Want to Do."
Sugarland made a splash at the 2009 CMT Awards with the duo's "Love Shack" cover with special guests The B-52s.
