Country Aircheck confirms that hit-artist Taylor Swift has landed a role in the forthcoming romance-meets-comedy from New Line Cinema known as Valentine's Day.

With Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries) at the directing helm, the ensemble comedy began shooting this with what has been described as an already-large cast that is now a bit larger, thanks to budding actress Swift, who shot her part on July 30.

Word has it that the 19-year-old songstress-turned-fashion endorsee--who guest starred on CSI earlier this year--was cast opposite Twilight's Taylor Lautner in the flick that will share five intertwining tales that take place in L.A. and focus on, what else? Why, Valentine's Day, of course.

In addition to Swift and Lautner, the cast, according to industry trade Variety, also includes Eric Dane ("Grey's Anatomy") as a quarterback struggling over whether he should retire, as well as Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace and Hector Elizondo.

According to early reports, the film has a budget in excess of $30 million, but New Line won't confirm a number. Mike Karz and Wayne Rice will serve as producers for Valentine's Day, whose initial script was penned by Katherine Fugate before Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein stepped in to author the latest version.
