Lady Antebellum become first country act to debut music video on YouTube

The members of  Lady Antebellum debuted their brand-new music clip for "Need You Now," the trio's latest single, in the Featured Video section of YouTube today, Sept. 15.

Directed by David McClister and shot in Toronto in late August, Lady A's new clip is one the players immersed themselves in, noted vocalist  Hillary Scott, because "it's a passionate song, and we wanted the video to be just as passionate."

Although it's still early in the tracking game, "Need You Now" is thus far fastest-rising single of Lady Antebellum's career, snaking into Billboard's Top 25 in just four weeks. The tune also is the follow-up release to the trio's first-ever No. 1, "I Run To You."

With the YouTube premiere of the "Need You Now" video, Lady A--whose players are now on tour in Canada with headliner Keith Urban--has become the first country act to debut a music video on the popular site.

"We really wanted this video to be a little more dramatic and stylized than anything we've done before," Scott says. "It was an exhausting shoot ... physically and emotionally ... because we worked through the night and just poured every ounce of ourselves into our characters.
