Country Music Hall of Fame be confirmed? (AP)
Representatives for Keith Urban and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum have reported that the country superstar will make a special announcement Aug. 31, but already news of his pending news is circulating in country circles.
Per the CMA, country fans may log on to the museum Web site come Monday to view Urban "live" making his special announcement at 10:30 a.m. (Central) via the Internet.
However, emerging reports from the camps of platinum-selling artists such as Jason Aldean and country-trio Lady Antebellum have noted that they, among other artists, will join Urban in performing a benefit concert for the nonprofit country-music museum.
Moreover, during his Nashville show on Saturday night, Aug. 29, Urban surprised concertgoers at his "Escape Together World Tour" by telling them he'd return to the city's Sommet Center on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, for "We're All For The Hall Nashville," a unique concert benefitting the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
In addition to Lady A and Aldean, word is that a number of the singer's musical friends and collaborators will sign on for the benefit, including Vince Gill, Faith Hill Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Little Big Town as well as surprise guests that country fans will undoubtedly sniff out prior to the event.
Tickets for the fundraising, star-studded concert begin at $25 and go on sale to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, through Ticketmaster.com.
Some fan-club members, however, can get tickets a bit early. Pre-sale tickets for the October benefit, for instance, will be available to Lady A "team members" beginning at 10 a.m. Aug. 30 through 5 p.m. Sept. 1 on the band's fan-club site.
Meanwhile, this scribe suspects that other artists participating in the Urban-headlined event will offer similar pre-sale ticket opps to their fan-club members, too. Either way, be it sooner or later, show tickets may be had for those interested in attending.
