After making the move from Michigan to Nashville David has been working with award winning Producer Ed Seay and making his new video “Be Your Better Man” which was filmed in Farmington, MI at the Barn Theatre with WXYZ anchor Stephen Clark directing and producing.
This is a first for David and he feels fortunate to have support from local country music station WYCD and DetroitCountryMusic.com.
Stephen Clark wanted to stay true to David’s lyrics by having the video represent something beautiful built up out of scraps with a surprise reveal at the end.
This is a great video and is a great addition to his new album due out this spring.
David Shelby has many career highlights such as his first album release in 2007 “I Came To Play”, in 2008 he recorded at Rustbelt Studios with Producer Al Sutton and in 2009 he was nominated for a Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Country Recording. This is a great way to kick off 2010 and we hope to see more.
One thing you may not know about him is that he is a very loyal friend, which he showed recently by creating and baking a very unique wedding cake for the wedding of his best friend. It turned out amazing by the way!
