Reba McEntire is set to perform in the Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade, which airs live on NBC (as well as many other networks) on Thanksgiving morning, has been a Thanksgiving day tradition for the past 83 years. In addition to dozens of floats, clowns, marching bands and performance groups, Reba McEntire will be joined by fellow country superstar, Billy Currington as a performer in the parade. Katharine McPhee, Boys Like Girls and Carly Simon will also be performing during the parade.
For Reba fans looking to check out her performance in person, know that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is introducing a new route for the first time in the past 83 years. The parade will begin on 77th Street and Central Park West. Then, instead of heading down Broadway like it has done in the past, the parade will turn onto Central Park South. Upon hitting 7th Avenue, the parade route will take a turn and head down to 42nd Street. For the millions that watch the parade from the comfort (and warmth) from their own home, this change won’t make much of a difference. However, if you’re looking to check out the parade in person, head to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade official website for more information.
