Crooked credit card company sends refunds

A crooked credit card company (are there any that aren’t?) is issuing “refunds totaling $4.4 million to about 184,000 customers”, for charging fees to their victims, ahem, CUSTOMERS that were deemed illegal.

The culprit? Chase Bank. I remember when a “Chase” card was a status symbol. I guess when you get a pretentious credit card you get what’s coming to you, huh? Nah, it’s not like me to blame victims of corporate greed.

It never ceases to irritate me, though, when credit card companies come up with these schemes to make their money. What happened to credit card companies making their money the old fashioned way – lending people money and earning interest? It was good enough to enable them to build these empires to begin with. They should stick to it.

I have started protesting outside of Chase Bank 6633 Topanga Canyon Blvd. I will be out there at least one hour a day.

Please, lets fight this atrocity now. CitiBank is about to follow Chase's lead. daily-protest.com

Add Capital One to the list of credit card companies that knowingly exploit customers. Our family used a check to make a large purchase because the 7.9% rate was better than the bank rate and we knew we were refinancing for some equity to pay it off shortly. We called Capital One to verify the rate prior to using the check. Three weeks later, we receive notification that our balance will increase over 100% to the rate of 17.9% as of July (two months from now). My wife has a credit rating in the 740-780 range. I have a rating in the 800's. We have never missed or been late on a payment. Capital One was contacted and was matter of fact that "we can and are doing this" for no other reason that they can. Talk about bait and switch. What would happen to a family who used the check in a calculated plan to manage immediate bills in times of hardship? Capital One in effect kicks it's customers when they are down. We are utterly outraged and have contacted the BBB, the Governor of the state of Virgina, our local State Representative and MSNBC. I hope others will pursue avenues in instances similar to this.
