Honey granola recipe

There are so many ways to eat granola. You can eat it by the handfuls, in bars, with milk as a cereal or over yogurt, cottage cheese or ice cream! Those are just a few of the ways.

This is a great recipe for granola. If you would like to make it into bars, you can form it into bars before you bake it.

 

 

Honey Granola Recipe

  • 6 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup flaked coconut
  • 3/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)

Pre-heat oven to 350*.
Line a cookie sheet with no-stick foil.
In a large bowl, combine oats, coconut and nuts. Mix.
In another bowl combine honey, oil and vanilla.
Pour over oat mixture and stir until coated.
Spread over prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes, stirring often.
Let cool and break into pieces.
Stir in raisins.
Store in an air-tight container.

    Hey, this sounds like a recipe my mom just made today. She said it was WONDERFUL. But, she used maple syrup instead of honey. I can't wait to try it. Thanks!
