This is one of the easiest and best tasting cake recipes I have tired! I got the original recipe from Woman's Day magazine and made a few minor changes to it. I made it for my husbands Birthday this year and was told by several people that it was the best cake they have ever tasted.
Vanilla Chocolate Chip Cake
- 2 2/3 cup flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips (I used regular chips and chopped them into small pieces)
Preheat oven to 350*. Line a 9x13 baking dish with no-stick foil.
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Whisk together.
In a separate bowl whisk together: milk, water, oil, vanilla and eggs.
Make a well in the flour mixture. Slowly pour wet mixture into flour mixture while whisking.
Stir in chips.
Pour into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.
Let it cool and ice with Easy Cake Frosting
