These are the best sugar cookies I have tried. Over the years I tried many different recipes and several years ago I found this one:
Sugar Cookies
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 ¾ cup flour
Preheat oven to 400*.
Line a cookie sheet with no stick foil.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add in egg and vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients.
Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix.
Roll out with flour to desired thickness.
Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
Bake for 7-10 minutes.
Cookies should be light brown in color when baked through.
