Char is currently a student at the Culinary Institute of Michigan, majoring in culinary arts. She has spent many years in the food industry and has worked on some interesting projects involving candy and maraschino cherries. She is a regularly featured chef on WZZM TV13, a Grand Rapids ABC-affiliate. For over 14 years, she has appeared on the "What's Cooking?" segment of their noon news show, a live broadcast with no script and no editing (yikes!). She enjoys cooking every type of food, from the simple to the gourmet.
