Americans rally in Washington DC

Cong. Michele Bachmann called on the American people to come to Washington DC at 12:00 p.m. on November 5th, to tell the members of Congress not to pass the health care bill.

They came, first count was 20,000 but others have put to count at 50,000.

They came to protest the 2000 page health care bill that is estimated to cost $1.05 trillion over the next ten years.  A bill that was written behind closed doors; that today Rep. Price called “legislative malpractice”.

And now we hear they will not give the people the 72 hours to read the bill and that not only will we not know what is in the bill but it will be voted on without the Congress reading the bill.  The Majority leader has announced the house will meet on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. for a rare Saturday vote on the bill.

Why did they waste the paper to write the bill if no one is going to read it?  Again they show irresponsibility and give credibility to Americans protesting.
