What happens when video game stars grow old

Elderly Sonic
Sonic the Hedgehog

As people, gamers grow older year after year.  Yet the figures they play in video games continue to stay the same age.  Stars of film and television that fans love all eventually grow old with time.  What if the beloved characters from hit games also aged?  What would it be like to see these aging mascots?

In today's entry of our ongoing series showcasing game characters in an different light, that very question is answered.  Check out as Sonic is slowed by the passage of time, Cloud gets a spikey skullet, and more below.

Perhaps after seeing the outcome, players should be content that their favorite game stars exist in a state free from the effects of time and gamers are allowed to remember them at the height of their adventures rather than seem them join the ranks of the elderly.

I like this article a lot. For some reason seeing all my favorite characters old makes me laugh.

You are silly!!! They are just characters in the video games and they do not age!

Wow, they sure don't age gracefully. Thank goodness I have awesome genetics.

Sonic was 15 in the first game that came out in1991. That would make him about 35 now? Not exactly an old man. Unless you're going on hedgehog years.
