Union thugs charged for beating African-American 'tea partier'

don't tread on me

As we reported here in August:

...police had arrested multiple uniformed Service Employees International Union (SEIU) members for assaulting Kenneth Gladney in St. Louis. (The SEIU is an integral component of Health Care for America Now, the Soros-funded coterie pushing for the government health care takeover.) One of the accused in Gladney’s attack justified himself by saying, “He attacked America!” Ironically, he claimed Gladney had attacked America while handing out flags bearing the inscription, “Don’t Tread on Me,” the slogan of the American Revolution. (...) Media reports indicate that a black SEIU member arrested in the assault called Gladney, who is also black, a racial slur, indicating he does not see his opponent as an authentic member of his own race.

Three months later, charges have finally been laid in connection with that politically motivated assault -- not that everyone agrees with that description:

Six people [including a local reporter] arrested in August outside a raucous town hall meeting in south St. Louis County have been charged with misdemeanor ordinance violations. (...) The maximum penalty upon conviction would be one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Some bloggers have been writing for months about the lag between the arrests at the politically-charged event and the filing of charges. County Counselor Patricia Redington insisted it had nothing to do with politics, influence or pressure from any official. “These charges are like the 90,000 other charges we file each year,” she said.

John Hinderacker muses:

It occurs to me that if these union thugs had been Navy SEALS apprehending a terrorist mass murderer of Americans, rather than agents of the Democratic Party trying to suppress expression of a political view with which the Democratic Party disagrees, they would have been treated far more harshly.

Meanwhile, Media Matters -- forced to abandon its "black man must have beat himself up or something" talking points -- and is now pitifully pushing the truly embarrassing argument that "it's not a hate crime because no specific hate crime charges were laid." Yeah, and Pol Pot didn't wear an "I'M A GENOCIDAL DICTATOR" t-shirt, either, so don't call him one. It's that cocktail of pharisaical legalism and Rain Man literal mindedness that helps radical lefties make friends wherever they go:

And you equating a fight and SEIU union members (uniform...lol, they have a common t-shirt) to Pol Pot, well, you have quite an imagination...

"Is it possible we have reached the zenith of dumbing down or has our quirkiness just become more overt as devotees of hate radio and TV parrot what they hear and non-facts become an acceptable basis for debate?"

The SEIU/ACORN union thugs are the ObaMao enforcers. ObaMao actually called on them to go to the town hall meetings to counter the producers at the meeting.

Far better a frequent visitor than a senior official like the Mossad-controlled neo-cons of the previous administration like Wolfowitz and Perle.

Yeah a "hate-crime" is only used against straight white perps, it apparently doesn't apply to cases like the Newsom-Christian murders, Wichita Massacre, the Richmond,Ca. gang rape case because the victims were white and the perps black and brown.
