Sarah Palin's Facebook 'friends' targeted by leftist 'labor-backed' group

sarah palin facebook ad
Anti-Sarah Palin ad on Facebook

Former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin boasts hundreds of thousands of Facebook "friends," and has been using her platform on Facebook to promote her views on health care reform and other issues since leaving the Governor's mansion.

Now Americans United for Change (AUFC) is running anti-Sarah Palin ads on Facebook. Facebook allows advertisers to target their ad views very carefully, so starting today, all Facebook visitors searching out Palin's fan sites will likely see the ad (pictured right).

The ad reads:

Health insurance reform is too important for outright lies. Send Sarah Palin a message; tell her to stop lying about 'death panels.'

Click through and you'll be taken to an Americans United for Change page featuring "non-partisan" "debunking" of Obamacare "myths."

So who are Americans United for Change? For all their talk of non-partisanship, "its agendas are entirely consistent with, and supportive of, those of the Democratic Party. AUFC candidly seeks 'to amplify the progressive message' and 'to contribute to a grass roots groundswell for progressive policies.'"

Besides being a major, highly vocal supporter of so-called "card check" legislation (which would abolish secret ballot provisions that help prevent the intimidation of anti-union employees),  AUFC has very close ties to the Obama White House and the Democratic Party -- and seemingly lots of money to run lots of ads:

In 2009, AUFC President Brad Woodhouse became the communications director for the Democratic National Committee under President Obama. He previously had served as communications director for USAction, and as a leader of the anti-war group Americans Against Escalation in Iraq.

In March 2009, AUFC announced that it soon would be spending approximately $700,000 on a host of television advertisements to promote President Obama’s first national budget. Also in early 2009, the organization launched a state-by-state ad campaign aimed at persuading the American public—and, by extension, their elected representatives in Congress—to support Obama’s economic-stimulus package. Among the activist groups and labor unions that helped cover the cost of these ads were MoveOn, the Service Employees International Union, and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.

Classy. Aaaand that's why I use the Adblock plugin in Firefox. But even then, do they really think the Sarah Palin fans are going to fall for their ads? Seriously? Give me a break.

Sarah Palin, on facebook, indeed has "hundreds of thousands of friends." 828,115 at 9:15 EDT to be exact. You have 415. On Twitter, she has 139,850 - less than "hundreds of thousands" - and on Twitter, you have 4,731.

"I have more Foreign Policy Experience than Sarah Palin" also has "hundreds of thousands of friends.

"NBC News Boycott" has 1,281 members and we must presume they're boycotting NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC and the Weather Channel. Don't tell the boycotters NBCU also owns the Sci Fi channel.

On Facebook, Barack Obama has 6,632,856 supporters. That's with an "M."

On Facebook, he "1,000,000 Strong for McCain/Palin '08 (Official Group)" (That's with an "M") has 180,351 members.

But since when did popularity pass for intelligence? Oh, I forgot, during the last election.

0bama and his crowd have been heavily promoting the anti-Palin bloggers in Alaska and elsewhere, but they've essentially failed at their appointed task. After Palin wrote an op/ed on cap and tax, MoveOn.org ran ads attacking her. Now, this bunch of losers. Palin 2012

Sara Palin may not be perfect, but she is real! The real people identify with her! The real people are tired and disgusted with Chicago style politics! And most now see through the Democrat party's antics! The Republican party has let them down! They have no leaders-- The most sensible one is Newt, and the most believebly honest is Sara. But I think the country is lost! The communist, democrat party has finally figured how to steal the elections! With the help of crooked media and criminal ACORN, Now we are almost a third world country! By next year it will be too late!

So if people click on the ad, AUFC (american unions frickin clueless?) has to pay Facebook? Seems like a good plan to me...

Can you click on that ad, then send a message *supporting* Sarah Palin??! That would be a double bonus if they do get charged for each click on the ad!

The ironic thing about these "death panels" is that private health insurance companies practice them every day by denying coverage to Americans through any loophole they can find.

Making a comparison between Obama and Sarah Palin on facebook is like comparing apples and oranges.

Obama boasted of a huge staff during his campaign that managed his social networking. Simply put, if the liberals did not see Sarah Palin as a valid threat they would not pay attention to her. As long as the threat continues to be present Obama's handlers will continue attack. That is likely to be a long time as Sarah is not going into hiding.

I must agree that clicking on the AUFC pay for click ads is a great idea. If you do that be sure not to close the screen after clicking for a minute or so to make sure that your click registers. That way the AUFC will be able to spend a little more of their clueless members money. Could someone explain why sheep would follow wolves?

    Bring it on AUFC!

For someone who the entire left wing fascist crowd calls stupid and worse, they DO seem to have a fascination with continuing to debase her. It MUST be because they actually fear her power and potential.

I hope the unions understand that if Obama and the left fail, what they will be in for with a Republican takeover of Congress.

To prove that Palin was right just google VA Death Book! It is only 50 some pages yet tells a lot about where Obama got his ideas about "End of life" counselling. It also shows that the Obama suporters are either liars themselves or just clueless. Pay attention to page 21, the checklist that is pretty much all negative and attempts to convince our honored Vets that life is no longer worth living if you are not in perfect health. President Bush made the VA stop using this book but Obama reinstated it. Just that alone should tell you where Obama's head is at!

The left will lose this battle, like their little socialist experiments are doomed to fail. Frankly those stuck on stupid only win in their wee minds, the left have become unhinged with hatred towards Sara watching them act out that hatred in public is ugly but it does give us the true picture on how twisted the Liberal Left have become in their dogma. The left espouse upside down loopy logic of the unhinged, in Europe the political left are on life support it shall happen in the US in the coming years.

Oh yes! I will definitely send Sarah a message.
That I support her and have since I first saw her face.

Sarah Palin was introduced to us on Aug. 30 of last year. McCain introduced her as his VP choice. She came on stage and said "It will demand the best that I have to give and I promise nothing less."

A great way to celebrate: by sending $30 to SarahPac,her community action committee.

If You continue to attack her we will love her more. If you are attacking is because something good she is doing to us and bad to you. Or maybe is that she is taking the socialistic ideas to the FrontPage of the Country? You, are paid for doing this kind of messages in the internet; We, do it for free because we want to be FREE!
