Sarah Palin will be Oprah WInfrey's guest on November 16, to help launch her book Going Rogue: An American Life.
While the vaunted "Oprah Effect" on books -- which turned obscure titles into bestsellers overnight -- peaked years ago, this tv appearance is notable because Oprah (a long time Obama supporter) didn't have Palin on her show during the 2008 election.
One TV industry reporter writes:
"Supposedly, this will be Palin's first interview to promote the book. Oprah doesn't take seconds.
"The quid pro quo is November is a sweeps month and Palin produces huge ratings."
Right now, Sarah Palin's book Going Rogue: An American Life, is the subject of a price war between Wal-Mart and Amazon. Amazon is offering Palin's forthcoming title for only $9.00 -- and that's in hardcover. The book was an instant bestseller the moment it became available for pre-order on Amazon, hitting #1.

I don't think Palin should lower herself by going on that two-face racist blimp's program. Doprah didn't want anything to do with Palin last year and now she wants Palin to give her record breaking ratings, man please! Only thing worse than this would be for Palin to appear on Letterman. She definitely should give Doprah Pigfrey a taste of her own medicine and cancel, that would be PRICELESS.
Funny, I see this as Palin getting the better part of the deal. Oprah may have to resort to asking Palin to say her "ABCs" and counting to 10 - not much more you can count on Palin to do...
Of course, Palin canceling would be priceless - and right up her alley. Didn't she "cancel" the remainder of her one term as Governor?

Even Oprah must, on some level, be wondering why she supported that Obama guy. She made her money by working for it, so there must be some part of her that thinks it is hers to decide what to do with it. Perhaps Sarah can work in a little reminder about the link between success and a free market.
