Obama Joker poster
Democrat party operatives and spin doctors will be saddened to learn this morning that the artist who helped inspire the notorious (some say "racist") "Obama Joker" poster isn't a disgruntled John McCain supporter or crazed militia member.
The Obama Joker artist -- well, one of them -- turns out to be a 20-year-old college student of Palestinian descent, from the President's hometown, Chicago.
Better yet, Firas Alkhateeb's politics are pretty liberal -- in fact, he told the LA Times blog he'd have preferred Dennis Kucinich to Obama.
"After Obama was elected, you had all of these people who basically saw him as the second coming of Christ," Alkhateeb told the reporter. "From my perspective, there wasn't much substance to him."
So Alkhateeb took one of the endless TIME magazine covers of candidate Barack Obama and applied the "Joker makeup", using Photoshop.
It was another, still unknown artist, who lifted the doctored imaged from Alkhateeb's Flickr page and replaced the TIME insignia with the word "socialism," an assessment of Obama's policies that Alkhateeb dismisses as "immature," with an almost audible sniff.
Which is pretty funny (and typical) for a 20-year-old. It will be interesting to see how long Alkhateeb remains a "progressive," after he experiences what the Left is about to do to him.

This kid is right, Obama is a joker. He's got no substance, and never had any. Also, it is an insult to the left to call Obama, an obvious Corporatist, a Socialist. He is anything but. In any case, the Left isn't doing anything in this country. You do mean, 'what the Center is about to do to him," right? It's downright incorrect to call centrist corporatists by any label associated with the actual left.
Is there no end to the TIME magazine covers of candidate Obama? When will his endless candidacy end? The cry goes up "how long?"
Obama is the result of wishful thinking on the part of leftists rooted in the 60s. He's supposed to represent/embody the the ultimate outcome of the civil rights movement. He is a religious figure to them and the fullfillment of that 60s eschatology. It's no wonder people who saw through him and who probabaly cannopt pronounce eschatology dubbed him "Obamessiah".
Didn't they portray Dubya as the Joker also? Didn't they say Dubya looked like a chimp? Nobody seemed to have a problem with that, so what's the difference?
Thanks for the heads up. It is amazing how this was a big deal to anyone when they did the same to Bush. I'm afraid the permanent campaign of Obama will continue through the end of his term. Hopefully that happens in 4 rather than 8 years.

So, has the Left trashed this guy yet, as this "unbiased" reporter has predicted? Or have they even noticed this childish response to not gettign what you want? Once again, conservative politics appeals to the most simple of minds.

It looks as though the LA Times was the first to break the story--that would be the place to start.
He will get a tax audit with no publicity. Some where , some how the obamites will punish this infamy against there Messiah.
Thats how Government works. Petty tyranny with malicious pay back with plenty of back stabbing in the ranks.

The Left isn't going to do anything with him. They are going to quietly sweep it under the rug because it doesn't fit their agenda. You won't hear anything from the mainstream media.
