Black conservative calls Democrat Party 'racist' in new book (part two)

In the first part of our interview with author Kevin Jackson about his new book The Big Black Lie, he told us about his unusual upbringing and how it shaped his thinking as a black conservative.

Now in part two, Jackson offers his advice to the Republican Party, and talks about the likes of Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

EXAMINER: How do you deal with the inevitable feelings of isolation and disapproval you get with many in the black community?

KEVIN JACKSON:
You say these feeling are inevitable? I guess my "feelings of isolation" are still pending! I have found a multitude of "like-thinkers" in the black community. They may be less vocal, however these people exist, and in larger numbers than most think. I believe books like mine will provide the impetus for them to reveal themselves more readily.

Next, if I were to feel "isolation"--and I don't--I assure you that I am extremely comfortable "in my own skin." I would not mind the isolation, should it occur.  The idea that I would limit myself to the black world is like buying into the notion that I need a "Black History Month!"  No thank you,I will just take the whole year, like everybody else.

Most of the world readily accepts people like me, i.e. people who want nothing except what they deserve and earn. Most people judge people by their deeds and their character, and by their personal experience with the individual...not anecdotal references.

As for disapproval of black Democrats, I frankly couldn't care less. It's this simple. I am right and they are wrong. I would be happy to debate any of them on what squandering their votes for Democrats, for decades, has done to improve "the black condition." Further, my facts on the racist history of Democrats are irrefutable.  Those racist policies continue to this day, though they are more subtle.

EXAMINER: In light of Rev. Wright's recent remarks about "them Jews", can you say a few words about the role the pastor plays in the black community, and whether this is a positive or a negative.

KEVIN JACKSON: Wright is the scourge of the black community.  To call him a "pastor" is to denigrate the word. He is more of a cult leader.  He spews racism, and uses the handful of whites in his church as tokens.  Wright is not a man of God in any way.  He and many others exude hatred and racism.  Note that I didn't call it "reverse racism," because there really is no such thing.  Anybody can be racist, and Wright certainly is. The idea that somebody can baselessly despise a group of people is not Christian-like in any way.

EXAMINER: What is your advice to the GOP leadership, as they try again and again to attract African-American voters? Is this a losing battle?

KEVIN JACKSON
: I say to the GOP leadership not to pander to blacks or any other ethnic group for that matter.  The GOP should remain centered on the core values of America, and not get distracted by the Left.

For example the discussion of torture. There are very few Americans who wouldn't want the harshest of torture, if it meant getting back one of their loved ones.  The Left has a way of making torture some sort of emotionally abstract issue.  Well it's not.  If a terrorist wants to kill Americans, then most Americans couldn't care less about limits on interrogation. The candidate who speaks truthfully on this will win over the American people.

The majority of American people are tired of being called racist or elitist, and they are also tired of apologizing.  The current political climate is to demonize America, then come off "holier than thou" by apologizing for us.  Apologize for what?  Americans being the most giving nature in the history of man.  When we are wrong, we admit it.

But we are right much more than we are wrong.  We can learn from micro-economics of a good family.  Parents are aren't perfect, but they do their best.  And usually the children benefit.  Liberal politicians act like America is an abusive, drug addicted father, brutalizing family and friends.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

My message is that conservatives are the same at our cores, for the most part, and so are many liberals.  We can have our slight differences, but when it comes to love of country, protection of our liberties, we don't differ much.  A united coalition of conservatives can defeat even the oppression of the Obama administration, which has the potential to cripple America.

The message in my book The Big Black Lie is that conservatives need to confront the lies of the Left.  We need to stop playing by the rules, when there are no rules. It is time we put racism (and classism) where it belongs...on the Left!  I hope this book becomes a best-seller, not because I will be in the spotlight.  Anybody who knows how conservatives are demagogued know what I mean. I hope this book is widely read, because I believe it will change a lot of the thinking for conservatives in America.  And please read and support my blog, The Black Sphere.

Reggi, the most important word in your rant is "was". that word indicates something in the past. why can't you get over this and start building instead of always wanting to tear down? how much punishment is enough for past sins, keeping in mind that none of the sinners or sinned against are living? you think the Dem. party supports blacks, women, or the poor? sorry to break it to you but they don't. if a person doesn't support the Dems. power and message they are cast aside and trampled be they black, gay, female, or whatever. funny how its big news when there is a hispanic supreme court nominee but roberto gonzalez was terrible and needed to be destroyed at all cost. wake up and look around.

@REGGI - No Reggi you are the sad one. You are indeed a wit of the nit kind. I can tell that you are an ignorant black, exceeded in my disdain only by the whites racist Democrats who feed off your feeble mind. Thankfully it's just a snack! It would take you less than five minutes to find the truth, but you love your ignorance. You voted for Obama because he's black, yet you don't think that racist. I'd say more, but it will take you three weeks to figure this much out...I despise you and your ignorant ilk

I find it very amusing the vitrol aimed at conservative blacks. It is as if, you represent a threat to a certain group that needs victims and problems it can "solve" eternally-without actually fixing them. Thereby maintaining a class that thinks it needs them. Thank you for speaking out. Keep up the good work, Mr. Jackson.

What would the democrats do without the poor and downtrodden's votes? These, of course, are bought with promises of public money. The minute blacks succeed, they don't need democrats to give them things. Their taxes go up with their wages, and higher tax brackets create conservatives. Do you really think democrats want the status quo to change? Any black success is an affront to racist democrats, when poor blacks are their bread and butter. The very idea that people can and should make it on their own merit undermines their all-controlling ideology, where success should be parceled out to select approved groups, but not so much success as to create independence. They want to ration out just enough that they can always promise more, and always on someone else's dime. It's a con game. Liberals are not the friend of blacks, however much they posture, it's just exploitation.

Racist conservatives believe that black democrats are all poor beggars that do not want to work. Truth is that most voting black democrats are successful. But racists need their stereotypes to justify their self-absorbed lives.

The "urban poor" the democrats campaign on every election are a conservative racist falsehood? Check the unemployment and welfare statistics by race. Check on crime, single-parent families, out of wedlockbirths, level of education, etc, and you will readilly find that American blacks as a group do indeed have significant problems. Stereotypes have a source, after all. I just don't think government programs will solve those problems. We have had decades of those programs, the stats keep getting worse, and democrats keep proposing more of the same. Note the confidence you feel in calling someone else a racist, having no clue what his race might be. This is the knee-jerk leftist response of trying to budgeon all dissent into silence wih name calling. Anything that dosen't support your agenda is automatically racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. That tactic is wearing very thin with the public. I'm trembling at some twerp calling me a racist. Really.

We are all racists with biases towards our own. I don't see anyhing wrong with that. Whites should look out for whites, blacks should look out for blacks, etc. It's human. What irks me is the wannbes. Michael Steele, Michelle Malkin and Kevin Jackson looking out for whites to the detriment of their own races irks me to no end. These are persons trying to "shuffle and dance" to fit in with with a race other than their own while throwing their race under the bus.
You, Bu Hao, as an Asian, can have your opinions and biases toward other races (black in this instance) within your community without "shuffling and dancing" for the White Conservatives. If your community really believes that White Conservatives are as hardworking as they say they are, have your brothen hire them instead of Mexicans for your businesses. We both know how that will go. Look out on the srteet corners and tell me how many white homeless and how many mexican homeless you see.

    But I'm not asian...
    project much, do we?

What irks me is people pretending to hold the moral high ground, and to be crusaders for racial justice, when they're really just bigots themselves. We see a lot of that on the left. I note that poor white trash is apparently a valid category, and any mention of poor black trash makes one a racist, even if one judges them by exactly the same standards of criminality, ignorance, out-of-wedlock birth, etc. Interesting. I also note that people's political sympathies should break down according to racial lines, in your estimation. Yet whites looking out for their own has been the single most prominent complaint of racial activists for many years. When whites do that, others claim that it isn't fair. You are a sad and silly little creature, I'm done with you. You should probably stop talking before you make a bigger fool of yourself. Ciao.

I am racist, I dont care for people no matter the color who are not trying to better themselves and not working and live off the government. Bible says no work no eat. It's not up to government to take care of us. it's up to us to take care of the government fewer representives would be wonderful, they just spend our hard earned money anyway and give to people who are not working. people who are disabled or children who need help all for it.
not for people who just want to live off the product of hard working people regardless of the color....we are a melting pot in america and all of us need to see our country is the best it can be. Vote no matter which party, but remember when voting to pick a person, man or woman black or white or any other color. is one who will stand for the rights of the american citizen and not their own greed or power.

Why are people so threatened by this Kevin Jackson? I was raised in a liberal family. Today, I see the hypocrisy of the Dems by encouraging blacks and other minorities to believe they are still "victims", suggesting to them an undercurrent of somehow being less than fully equal to their white liberal counterparts. The only way to address racism is by going forward, and judging people by "the content of their character" not their race. That isn't to say that racism doesn't exist. It just begs the question, when are we as a nation going to be the United States of America, and not the black, white, or Latino, or Asian states?
