The White House announced on Friday, February 26th, Obama’s appointment of members to the Bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform: David Cote, Ann Fudge, Alice Rivlin, and Andy Stern. That’s correct; Obama has appointed left wing thug and controversial head of the SEIU (Service Employees International Union) to his new commission of fiscal responsibility and reform. Andy Stern is the antithesis of fiscal responsibility and reform. At a time when the economy is in dire straits, SEIU-United Health Worker members in California alone earn double the national average even though California’s economy is probably one of the worst in the entire country and they will continue to earn raises.
Stern is the progressive, anti-business, anti-American left wing extremist who deserves no place in the White House (although he’s been Obama’s most prolific visitor since taking office). In September 2009, Stern (who is closely associated with ACORN) denounced anyone who questioned federal funding for ACORN by calling them liars, anti-American and right wing extremists. In reality, taxpayers across the country were concerned about their hard earned tax dollars paying for yet another corrupt organization. Of course, the MSM neglected to report on this but you can see a full report about his lunatic rant here.
During the campaign Obama made it quite clear that he was embedded with the SEIU as you can see from his speech to the SEIU below. The SEIU has 2.2 million members across the country that is not even close to representing the more than 300 million people that exist in this country. It is clear that Obama is pro-union, anti-business, pro-SEIU as opposed to being pro-majority of Americans. The SEIU clearly does not represent a majority. Obama specifically states in his speech that ‘it’s not the Department of Management, It’s the Department of Labor and we are going to take it back.’ One thing I know for certain is that SEIU is still fighting, mobilizing and organizing and we are ready to restore labor’s rightful place in America.’
In Stern’s press release about being chosen to Obama’s newly created committee, he said the following:
"In the short term, as millions of Americans struggle to find work, that means continuing to invest in creating jobs and boosting growth. In the long term, it means beginning a new dialogue about how we fund vital government programs, while at the same time restoring long-term fiscal discipline and defining a clear, progressive vision for our nation's future."
The paragraph doesn’t sound so bad until the last sentence: defining a clear, progressive vision for our nation's future. What does Stern not understand is that progressives make up a very small percentage of this country; they neither represent the Democratic Party, although they are making huge strides in trying to take it over, nor do they represent the majority of Americans. Most people have completely rejected progressive ideology such as Obamacare as seen by Obama’s ever tanking approval numbers.
Why is Obama appointing someone like Andy Stern to the fiscal responsibility commission, let alone any commission? Is it payback for the over $60 million the SEIU gave to his Presidential campaign? Is it to passify the far left? After what Stern said about regular American taxpayers who wanted ACORN rightfully investigated, why would Obama put this type of person onto a commission that is going to aid in deciding fiscal matters? Andy Stern and his SEIU is part of the reason health care costs are so high and keep rising. They continually suck more money out of hospitals and businesses that are already stretched to the limit. It is becoming increasingly obvious that Obama simply doesn’t care what the majority of Americans want. It’s becoming apparent that Obama is blatantly telling the American people he doesn’t care what they want (as he did at the Health Care Reform Summit).

Is there any way to stop this appointment? This is one step of many to divide Americans into the providers and the takers. Get the TSA (and other government workers) into the SEIU en mass and without employee vote, move to get public safety (police, fire and first responders) into unions in the same manner. Add a general amnesty, with voting rights for 20-30 million illegal immigrant, and you have a a guarenteed democrat majority to forever change what was the American culture.
What is it about Jews and communism?
They invented it-Marx&Engles,they were the behind its push and adoption in Russia resulting in the deaths of 50 million Russian Christians(that is the real holocaust that Steven "Spielberg" will never make a movie about)and they are still the biggest cheerleaders for it in the US as well.
What kind of control freaks must a group be to want such a system created?
Let us always guard against this disgusting philosophy by never allowing anyone,or any government to disarm us citizens.
"SEIU members earn double the national average"? Average what?
SEIU represents people who work in a lot of minimum wage jobs, like home health care, janitorial work, security guards, and food service. They also represent nurses, due to a big merger, and nurses earn a lot. So, on average, yes, I bet that an SEIU worker earns twice the minimum wage.
Also, the minimum wage in California is 7.50, while across America it's around 5.75.
So, are SEIU workers averaging $11 an hour? You bet. The nurses raise that average.
Are SEIU workers earning twice for doing the same work in the same area? No way. Chances are, the wages are really similar, maybe a dollar more. They may even earn a little less. The difference is that they get sick days and vacation days -- which many workers don't get. They may get retirement and health care too.
Stop your lying.
wgwg Thank You for alerting me to the fact that I did not specify United Health Workers only. If you had read the link to the source behind the statement you would have seen that. I have since added that to the article to make it more clear.
If you read the source article, you'll see that I am indeed telling the truth.
We don't make anything anymore. Without manufacturing, and with outsourcing jobs to countries with no regard to human rights for cheap labor, what are we left to do? Welcome to Walmart, How may I help you? Stop spinning your venom and start giving a crap about America! When your right wing rag of a news source folds, you'll be in a similar boat....I hope
