Over the weekend someone posted on www.mybarackobama.com an event for Patriot’s Day to phone your Senators in regards to healthcare reform. There is absolutely nothing wrong with providing information and getting people together to voice your opinion. This is a completely reasonable and great thing for people to do if they believe in something. What is completely unreasonable is the language in which this person referred to those who disagree with Obama’s healthcare plan. From the posting:
“All 50 States are coordinating in this – as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.”
This is Obama’s official ‘Organizing for America’ website paid for by the DNC not just some left wing website. If it was this type of language is to be expected but I would think that a site specifically associated with the President would have more intelligence than to call citizens who disagree with parts of Obama’s healthcare plan terrorists. I don’t think these people understand what the Democratic process is all about. It means that people debate and discuss issues especially issues as personal and important as our healthcare.
Funny they actually steal a line from what millions of Americans have been saying over the past several months (the ones they refer to as Domestic Terrorists), they of course list out what callers should say and one of the lines is: I’m calling from the city of [xxx] – and I AM mad as Hell and I’m not going to take it anymore – they add, If you Don’t Mind.” How quaint.
The post even goes so far as to say and I quote: “--*RECLAIM OUR LAND FROM THE HEIRS OF, YES BIN LADEN --*YOU KNOW IT’S TRUE*--- And “Just remember: We Are the Super-Heroes Who Yes WE DID, and YES, WE SHALL commence administering Super-Hero Karate Chops, beginning now.”
This type of slanderous lunacy is to be expected from far left liberal blogs or sites like DailyKos or Mediamatters but certainly not of the DNC's own ‘Organizing for America’ site which clearly is all about Obama. Obama himself has belittled Americans who oppose his healthcare plan by saying their anger is ‘manufactured’. Obama has continually made digs at Fox News and other Conservative commentators in the press because they are the only station/people that don’t slobber all over the President. This is a direct ‘trickle down’ attitude from the President himself. This has nothing to do with the Republicans. Quite frankly they haven’t been doing much. The people that are showing up at Town Halls and who oppose ‘Obamacare’ are people from all parties who decidedly have had enough with ALL politicians in Congress who think that they know what is best for them.
Since before the election some liberals and Obama supporters have called anyone who disagrees with Obama racist; Pelosi referred to Town Hall protesters as Nazis; Baird referred to them as ‘brownshirts’ (another Nazi reference); Watson recently just said they are racist; Hoyer called people ‘un-American’. People, who disagree with Obama, even if they are Democrats, are called Right Wing Extremists, fear mongering, evil mongering and domestic terrorists.
If Obama and the Democrats want to duke it out with the Republican politicians, by all means have a free for all but when American citizens are being belittled by the President and referenced in ways such as ‘nazis’ by political members of the Democratic Party, we have a serious divisive issue in this country. Democratic politicians need to stop attacking American citizens who disagree with their healthcare bill. All they are doing is inciting their own members to do the same and making themselves look extremely ignorant, unprofessional and foolish. Yes there are fringe on both sides but those people do not represent the majority of Americans who are speaking out either for or against the healthcare bill. Last time I checked we still had a Democracy.
NOTE: The event has since been pulled from at least the Illinois site. Also noteworthy is that the other events listed are not inflammatory at all and are simply getting people together to fight for something they believe in.

Your entire premise is flawed. Neither Obama nor the DNC nor Organizing for America bears any responsibility for that posting. It was posted by an American citizen exercising free (if rude) speech.
Organizing for America and my.barackobama.com and the information on that site in NO WAY "trickles down" from the President. A posted event does not reflect the views of the President or even of my.barackobama.com - any assertion otherwise is uninformed at best and deceitful at worst.
I myself was just called a Nazi on WashingtonPost.com, not for anything I said or wrote but simply because of my association with Organizing for America. So the Nazi stream flows both ways, I'm sorry to say.
I agree we have a serious problem when Americans call other Americans Nazis. I also believe we have a serious problem when the media blows items completely out of proportion just to make nothing seem like something.

Alex, then why do you not just remove the post?
I do not believe in calling people names, ie Nazi, however you must admit, that Hitler started much in the same way as Obama. He wants to control everything from health care to his civilian army that he is organizing. You see most smart Americans, realize that one day we could wake up and have no rights at all.
Obama is a very scary person to me and I do not trust his motives.
Perhaps you should know more about the website and who can post on it before you attribute everything to the president.

To attempt to state that there is no responsibility by the DNC or Obama for what is posted on that website, is complete ignorance of the law. Freedom of speech does not apply to a website.
If you host content, the law has been established that you are responsible for monitoring that content, even if its user-created. The flaw here is that there is no moderation done, or perhaps no decent moderation done to the public areas of that board.
Its so funny how instantly people try to shift the blame and play dumb.
