American taxpayers being forced to support Latino separatist group

In 2006 and again in 2008, the Latino group known as La Raza (The Race) was given $15 million in U.S. federal grants. La Raza also received an additional $4 million in so-called 'earmarks' tucked into the 2005 Housing Bill, which our Congress passed and President Bush signed. Considering the ethnocentric agenda of La Raza, in giving federal funds to this group, the American taxpayer is being forced to support a race-based separatist organization.

La Raza openly supports pushing all but Latino Americans out of a portion of the United States (i.e. ethnic cleansing), they call for 'Reconquista' or the re-conquest of the American Southwest by Mexico, and the establishment of 'Atzlan' which is the utopian all-Latino version of the American Southwestern states.

La Raza’s motto is “For the Race, everything, outside the Race…Nothing!”

Past keynote speakers at the annual National Council of La Raza Conference have included George Bush, Karl Rove, L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Bill Clinton, John McCain, and Barack Obama. The fact that U.S. Senators and Presidents have addressed the group, is a strong indication that this nation is being subverted at the very highest levels.

If La Raza was a white supremacist group with equally deep pockets, the U.S. government would place them on a terrorist watch list, infiltrate them with undercover FBI agents, and subject them to constant harassment by the IRS. Eventually, the group's leaders would be jailed and the group itself would be rendered irrelevant. However, because La Raza is a Latino supremacist group, Congress offers them financial support.

One of La Raza's biggest supporters is Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV). In 2001, Reid asked the Senate Appropriations Committee for $5 million to help further their goals. That same year, La Raza gave Sen. Reid their Capital Award for "his commitment to advance legislation priorities of the Latino community." Reid in turn praised La Raza by saying: "La Raza is like the biblical David, fighting all these Goliaths."

Taxpayer funds are also funneled to La Raza through the Department of Health and Human Services, the Environmental Protection Agency, and even NASA. Tax dollars are hidden in these government agencies, earmarked to be specifically given away to La Raza. Inside the halls of Congress, the practice is known as discretionary funding...In the real world it is known as money laundering.

In 2008, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) earmarked an additional $20 million for La Raza. He hid the appropriation in the FHA Housing Stabilization and Homeowners Retentions Act of 2008.

In 2005, $7.9 million was stolen from the American taxpayers and given out to Latino-only charter schools in the form of U.S. Department of Education grants. La Raza operates 100 such schools across the country. The following is a list of a few of those schools:

-La Academia Semillas del Pueblo (Los Angeles)
-Atzlan Academy (Tucson, AZ)
-Mexicayotl Academy (Nogales, AZ)
-The Dolores Huerta Prepatory High School (Pueblo, CO)
-Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School (St. Paul, MN)

These schools teach Latino culture only, the Spanish language, the re-conquest of the American Southwest, ethnic cleansing and the establishment of the mythical Atzlan, and even Aztec math...Again, all taught on your dime!

According to the Capital Research Center, La Raza has assets well in excess of $50 million. This same group reports that La Raza spends about $1 million annually on lobbying and fundraising.

Can you imagine the Congress appropriating money to the Ku Klux Klan? While those scenarios both sound absurd, the support that our elected officials are giving to the racist group known as La Raza is no different.

One has to wonder, if the KKK offered extremely cheap labor to unscrupulous American businesses and potential votes to equally unscrupulous politicians...Would Congress fund whites-only charter schools?

    "La Raza" explained Part 1

    www.filosofia.org/aut/001/razacos.jpg

Published in 1925, La Raza Cosmica (The Cosmic Race) is an essay written by late Mexican philosopher, secretary of education, and 1929 presidential candidate, Jose Vasconcelos to express the ideology of a future “fifth race” in the Americas; an agglomeration of all the races in the world with no respect to color or number to erect a new civilization: Universopolis. As he explains in his literary work, armies of people would then go forth around the world professing their knowledge. Vasconcelos continues to say that the people of the Iberian regions of the Americas (that is to say, the parts of the continent colonized by Portugal and Spain) have the territorial, racial, and spiritual factors necessary to initiate the “universal era of humanity”.

    "La Raza" explained Part 2

    www.filosofia.org/aut/001/razacos.jpg

Claiming that the Darwinist ideologies are “scientific” theories only created to validate, explain, and justify ethnic superiority and to repress others, Vasconcelos attempts to refute these theories and goes on to recognize his words as being an ideological effort to improve the cultural morale of a “depressed race” by offering his optimistic theory of the future development of a cosmic race.

“La raza cosmica”, in English “the cosmic race”, embodies the notion that traditional, exclusive concepts of race and nationality can be transcended in the name of humanity’s common destiny. It originally referred to a movement by Mexican intellectuals during the 1920s who pointed out that Latin Americans have the blood of all the world’s races (White Europeans, Asian-descended Native-Americans and Black Africans), transcending the peoples of the “old world”.

    "La Raza" explained Part 3

    www.filosofia.org/aut/001/razacos.jpg

It has come, often in its shortened version “La Raza”, to refer to the mixed race people of Latin America, i.e., primarily mestizos, mulattos, and zambos or all three combined. Vasconcelos also used the expression, “la raza de bronce” (”the bronze race”), in this same sense.

The statement above is sheer hyperbole. Obviously, people like Gibson who espouse such non sense are not fooling George Bush, Karl Rove, L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Bill Clinton, John McCain, Barack Obama or the US Congress.

Can you point out the where on the "National Council of La Raza" (NCLR) they are advocating what you accuse them of?

Mexica was the word used by the so called "Aztecs" to describe themselves.

The Mexica ("Aztec") said they had originated in a placed they called "Aztlan" - perhaps thats why the European (Spanish) illegal aliens called them "Aztecs". That sacred city and the original land of Aztlan would have been in what is today the Southwestern United States.

Recent archaeological evidence support the Mexica stories of their origins.

I can understand how a western mind can hear a term like "La Raza" and have images of the Nazi concept of "Das Volk" conjured up in his/her mind.

However, the 1925 essay that is the origins of the the term "La Raza Cosmica" (The Cosmic Race) was written in response to the social Darwinism espoused by the Lothrop Stoddard and Madison Grant in the 1920s.

"La Raza" (shortened version) refers to the mixed race people of Latin America. Mestizos, mulattos, and zambos or all three combined.

As such, comparisons to to the Nazi "Das Volk" concept or KKK are absurd as the author is speaking of a combination of 3 different races in varying degrees.

Latin Americans ("Latinos) are not a race anyway, they are an ethnicity. Latinos can actually be of any race.

Again, can you point out exactly where on the "National Council of La Raza" (NCLR) website they proclaim the hyperbole you accuse them of?

I have a few questions for Human Being: Why is it that La Raza feels it has to change the USA? Aren't Mexico and the rest of the nations south of our border in need of 'their help'? Doesn't the Cosmic Race inhabit all of South America and a third of North America? I am reminded of the fable of The Grasshopper and the Ant only in this version the grasshopper steals the ants food then eats the ant before it dies.

The actions of the tan klan are very clear, promote one race over another. That in itself is racist. If whites put a similar organization together to promote white interests there would racist cries of outrage. Why is it only whites can't have race interests when every other group has a carte blanc pass on their racial agendas?

Human Being would say it's because of thousands of years of white dominance and repression, in other words, it's payback time.

NCLR has never supported and does not endorse the notion of a “Reconquista” or “Aztlán.” The statement “Por La Raza todo, Fuera de La Raza nada,” is not NCLR’s motto. This statement is not and has never been the motto of NCLR.

Critics also argue that NCLR’s programs only serve Hispanics. This is simply not true. NCLR and its programs are covered by civil rights laws. For example, in 2006, as part of NCLR’s homeownership program, NCLR Affiliates served about 29,000 clients. Almost 20% were White and approximately 12% were Black.

While it is true that one meaning of “raza” in Spanish is indeed “race,” in Spanish, as in English and any other language, words can and do have multiple meanings. As noted in several online dictionaries, “La Raza” means “the people” or “the community.” Translating “La Raza” as “the race” is not only inaccurate,it is factually incorrect. “Hispanic” is not a race. Hispanics can be and are members of any and all races.

    I'm a she...not a he. I do not represent any organization.

I began following the debate over "illegal aliens" about 18 months ago when I became alarmed at the tone. Since then, I have gathered links to reputable sources refuting the most malicious lies used to demonize Latinos.

I'm a San Francisco white woman sick of the hatred being heaped upon my Latino neighbors...usually (but not exclusively) by white men (few women) who fear our nations changing demographics.

    Americas changing demographics cannot be blamed on Latinos as below replacement white birth rates is a global phenomenon;

    What's new?

    @ Jimi;

Fact is, there was similar Irish, Italian, Croatian, Greek, Russian etc organizations that defended the rights of immigrants from those lands in generations past.

Even today, there are Italian-American, Irish-American, Croatian-American, Russian-American, etc organizations whose explicit mission is to advance the interests of those communities...it's just that they are no longer composed largely of immigrants.

Human Being, let me get this straight. You think it is completely fair that a group of people that broke our laws by sneaking into this country should be rewarded citizenship, even though there are lots of people that have filled out paperwork, have paid thousands of dollars, learned ENGLISH, and done things the legals way? You really want that? How is that fair?

And despite all of your rantings protecting LaRaza, the bottom line is, it is a hispanics only club. How is that not racist? You have only been doing this for 18 months? It really shows. Perhaps you should look at both sides, then you will EASILY see how illegals have done NOTHING positive for our country. They cost us BILLIONS a year just by being here.

If someone knocked on your door, and asked to stay, eat your food, take your job, and bring their family with them would you do it? I didn't think so. Think!!

Ralph brings up an important point. The involvement of Mexico, in fifth columnist activities in the U.S. Remember, the idea that a nation that cannot even control drug lords, is influencing policy in the U.S., is not a savory one. Some of you La Raza and open borders supporters, have got to be lunatics or you have the the same fifth columnist tendencies that the Mexican government has towards America. If you love Mexico so much, go live there and leave Americans alone. NO ONE WILL MISS YOU. NO ONE.

There are extremist groups everywhere, but yet I do not look at every "white person" and assume they would like to beat me, hang me, and then burn me. That would be... crazy, for lack of a more p.c. word. Heck I'd be scared of my own cousins, my church, and even my own girl. Sorry, guys I don't hate whites nor do I want a "Reconquista" or the Atzlan thing (I'd have to send Dad away). Please, I've got better things to worry about: Rent, Taxes, Property Values, Job Security, Our Troops (Am a Vet), My Kid's School, etc. And the KKK... c'mon now, I could never support an Anti-American group that goes against everything this country was founded on, nor could I burn crosses upside down, or up, or sideways.
