Obama can't hide from the Cap and Trade lies

I don't get it.

On January 17, 2008 Senator Barack Obama was interviewed by the San Francisco Chronicle. In that interview Mr. Obama expressed his desire for a clean energy "Cap and Trade" bill which would move the U.S. toward a green economy and reduce pollution. In that interview however he said, "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

On June 25, 2009, President Barack Obama made the following remarks regarding the Cap and Trade bill before the House of Representatives.

"This legislation has also been written carefully to address the concerns that many have expressed in the past. Instead of increasing the deficit, it is paid for by the polluters who currently emit dangerous carbon emissions. It provides assistance to businesses and families as they make the gradual transition to clean energy technologies. It gives rural communities and farmers the opportunity to participate in climate solutions and generate new income. And above all, it will protect consumers from the costs of this transition, so that in a decade, the price to the average American will be about the same as a postage stamp a day."

That same day the King of Pop, Michael Jackson was pronounced dead. The media circus ensued.

At approximately 3:00AM on June 26, 2009 the 1200+ page bill grew by 300+ pages. That same day, the bill (including the 300+ pages added in the dead of night that no representative could have possibly read) was passed by the House of Representatives by a vote of 219-212 without hardly a mention from the national news media.

Fast forward three months.

Through a Freedom of Information Act request by the Competitive Enterprise Institute, it was discovered on September 15 that the Obama administration had in fact been covering up the true cost of the legislation. According to President Obama's own US Department of Treasury estimate, Cap and Trade could cost each American household $1761 per year or the equivalent of hiking personal income taxes 15%.

So let me pull a Joe Wilson and be the first to say to the president, "You lied."

I just don't know when he was lying. Was he lying about the skyrocketing cost when it's really only a postage stamp or was he lying about the postage stamp when it's really a huge skyrocketing cost?

I don't know. You decide for yourself.

Everyone including Democrats know that Obama is a pathological liar!!. Here is the evidence. Obama says to "judge me by the people who surround me". First you have Reverend Jeremiah Wright who is clearly a racist and hates this country with a passion. Obama says that this is not the Jeremiah Wright that he knew. Obama went to this man's church for over 20 years and was even married by him. William Aires, a well known member and terrorist from the Weather underground who both worked with and obviously befriended Obama. Obama of course didn't realize all of this. Vann Jones (racist, Communist, elected without being vetted), Cass Sunstein (animal worshiping lunatic), Henry Louis Gates Jr.(Radical, Racist professor) ACORN (Obama worked with and funded), etc. etc. etc.!!!!! Supposedly ALL coincidences huh! Why don't you judge for yourselves. As for me I believe that he is either a liar, a racist and extremely dangerous, or he is possibly the dumbest man who ever lived.

The cost of just fossil energy goes up under Cap and Trade. Not renewable energy like solar and wind. But there are subsidies and rebates to electricity consumers in the bill to make the cost to consumers not go up. Only the power company pays more if they keep refusing to switch to renewable energy. Not the consumer.

    See the bill at Thomas
    HR 2454
    783 USE OF ALLOWANCES
    789 CLIMATE CHANGE CONSUMER REFUNDS
    793 ESTABLISHMENT OF FUNDS

Initially 76% and then 83% of allowances benefit people not polluters

The amount of allowance value directed to consumers or for other public benefit (more renewable energy, efficiency, low-carbon transportation technologies, green-collar job training, and the transition to a low-carbon economy) totals 76 percent of the cumulative allowance pool from 2012 through 2025 and 83 percent from 2012 through 2050. (WRI)
For the poor, subsidies would completely offset any rising cost of fossil energy.
