Green Jobs Czar Van Jones
United States Representative Mike Pence (R-IN) issued a statement on Friday calling for Green Jobs Czar Van Jones to quit or have President Barack Obama demand his resignation.
"Given recent revelations concerning the associations and statements of the president's green jobs czar, Van Jones should resign his position and if he is unwilling to do so, the president should demand his resignation. His extremist views and coarse rhetoric have no place in this Administration or the public debate."
Following is a brief but not comprehensive summary of what Representative Pence may be referring to:
1) Van Jones calling Republicans "assholes."
2) Van Jones signing a "truther" petition (he's number 46 on the list) which stated that the government may have played a part in the 9/11 attacks, and even participated in a "truther" rally.
3) Van Jones saying white polluters are steering poison into the people of colored communities.
By the way, when White House press secretary Robert Gibbs was asked on Friday whether or not Jones has the confidence of the president, Gibbs simply replied, "He continues to work in this administration."
The smart money says he's gone by the end of the month.

How can Mike Pence's assessment be considered legitimate when he's not a neutral party? He's a Republican. They want the president to fail and will contribute to that effort as the opportunity arises. I'd give more stock to the critique of a self-described liberal. Sorry Pencey!
1) Name a Republican who's not an a55hole.
2) Tell me it's out of this world to think that GW could have had an incentive to knock down the WTC given the huge oil and defense profits that have resulted.
3) White polluters do steer poison into communities of color. If this weren't true it wouldn't be the case that the blackest neighborhoods are also the dirtiest while the whitist neighborhoods are the most pristine. If you think I'm lying, check out the lit review in this paper www.independent.org/pdf/tir/tir_08_2_couch.pdf. There is plenty of empirical data to back me up.
As a native "Hoosier", I fully support Congressman Pence on his position that Jones has to go. The remainder of the czars and their "boss" need to go as well. I only hope that other members of Congress will stand with Mr. Pence to defend this country as a Republic.
Hilary and a1b2c3 should do their homework. There is much more than the above. Don't make it into a republican democratic thing it is hate and radical thinking gripping this guy, Van.
Just want to clarify that the term "Rebublic" in my comment was not used to refer to democratic vs republican parties. The term "Rebublic" was used in reference to the type of government that was established for the United States. Van Jones does not represent this country as a "Republic".
Linda - please do your homework as well. Your are correct that this is much more than the republicans vs the democrats. Party is not the issue.
Congressman Pence - thank you for your support and please continue to work toward restoring this country to its "Republic".
